Dr. Caffrey and her team must investigate a chilling situation on the Big Horn, a U.S. Naval cargo freighter, after its crew is terrorized by a signal from a mysterious craft that lands in the mid-Atlantic Ocean. Once it's discovered that most of the ship's men have perished or disappeared except for one, First Mate Gunneson (William Mapother), they observe him and study his strange behavior until he jumps overboard. Meanwhile, Dr. Caffrey, Cavennaugh and Pegg discover a video of the craft that emits a loud noise that causes them to have a severe physical reaction, and it is then that they realize they've made first contact with an unexplainable force and must now follow Caffrey's contingency plan to the letter.

However, Dr. Caffrey and her team realize that other missing crew might not have perished, just like Gunneson. Now, in order to contain the situation, they must find him and any other crew members to figure out what has affected them before it spreads to the rest of the population and creates a crisis situation.

Molly and her Red Team investigate the bizarre murder of a man at a fast food restaurant which later leads them to suspect the involvement of a group of military school students.

When the facilities manager of a military school goes on a rampage at a fast food restaurant and is later found killed, Molly and Cavennaugh look to the military academy to begin their investigation. After they observe some of the students acting strangely, Molly and her team discover that the facilities manager and some of the children have been exposed to the same signal that earlier terrorized the crew members of the Big Horn ship. Now, it's up to Molly and her team to find the students and study them so they can contain the situation.



4 :01x04 - The Burning

Richard Tate, a psychiatric patient who has been committed since the age of 13 for burning his family alive, has escaped from a hospital in Ohio, and is now suspected of killing one of the guards there and taking a female hostage at a condo complex.

For Dr. Caffrey and the Red Team, this seems like a case they could ignore; however, when they discover that Tate has had strange dreams that drove him to his escape -- the same dreams Caffrey, Cavennaugh and Pegg had after their encounter with the signal on the Big Horn ship -- they realize this is not an ordinary missing persons case.

When it's suspected that one of the missing Big Horn crewmembers might be involved, Caffrey and the Red Team must find Tate to study him -- and what they might find may be a mystery that has been years in the making.



5 :01x05 - Shock

After a gang is busted by police at a Baltimore shipyard, Det. Victoria Rossi, takes the law into her own hands when she loses her partner during a shootout after one of the criminals, thought to be dead in an incident that should have killed him, shockingly murders the partner.

When Molly and the Red Team get wind of the criminal's ability to withstand extreme force, they discover that he is one of their fugitive Big Horn crewmembers, Daniel Park. Molly and Cavennaugh head to Baltimore to pose as Homeland Security investigating terrorists in order to sweep in and clean up the mess, but the real Homeland Security department beats them to it, and apprehend Park, who later escapes from their custody.

When Pegg, Fenway and Ramsey discover that Park may have access to technology that can emit the Big Horn signal to a large quantity of the population, Molly and Cavennaugh must enlist Rossi's help in capturing their fugitive.



6 :01x06 - Pulse

After it's discovered that the signal from the Big Horn made its way into a music mix at a Miami rave, Molly and the team head to Florida to investigate if any of the partygoers have been infected by the exposure and to track down the rave's DJ, Karyn Reynolds, who has gone missing after exhibiting some bizarre behavior.

Once they realize that Reynolds is the one who has been infected and has the potential to spread the signal to the mass population, they must find her to prevent a potentially catastrophic situation.



7 :01x07 - The Order

When Baylock finds a blind item referencing Molly and a "Threshold program" in a local D.C. newspaper, Molly and Cavennaugh must find the source of this leak and what they conclude is that the item's source could be someone from within the Red Team.

And, with the publication of the blind item, Molly now also has to deal with meddling from Senator Will Tollman, who now insists on being included in the inner workings of the project or he'll make it public.

Meanwhile, residents of a small Rhode Island town call into a local radio station complaining they're having dreams of trees made of glass. With that discovery, Fenway, Pegg and Ramsey head to the town to track down the cause.



8 :01x08 - Revelations

After a field agent disappears while keeping surveillance on the home of the mother of missing Big Horn ship crewman Sonntag, Molly and Cavennaugh head to New Harmony, Indiana to investigate the crewmember's hometown.

There they encounter the local preacher, Reverend Lavory, who is captivating his parishioners with his visions of a "sea of glass" and the impending apocalypse. After they witness other bizarre happenings in the town, Molly and Cavennaugh keep a suspicious eye on Reverend Lavory while also looking out for any signs of crewman Sonntag's reemergence.

Meanwhile, when it's suspected that crystals formed on washed-up wreckage of the Big Horn are capable of spreading infection, Fenway, Pegg and Ramsey search the ocean floor to find the remaining pieces of the ship to before there is any possible contamination to the surrounding environment.

However, when the mission to move the infectees goes awry, one of Cavennaugh's men is changed forever. Meanwhile, Cavennaugh reveals a secret about his past, and Molly and the Red Team discover the real identity of Lucas' assistant, Roberts.
