Into Thin Air - Recap

Christopher, Erin, Tommy, Dave, and his girlfriend Nancy go on a skiing weekend, but Dave is blissfully unaware that Nancy is cheating on him. Titus wants to protect his brother and not tell him what Nancy is up to. Erin insists he should, until Titus points out that if he does then Dave will spend the rest of their weekend in their lovers suite. Erin backtracks but when Dave talks about how happy he is with Nancy they both break down and tell him. A depressed Dave skis down the trail past the danger ribbons and Christopher goes in pursuit. He ends up falling down the mountainside and landing in a tree next do Dave.



Dave thinks that Christopher is trying to rub his relationship with Erin in Dave's face, even though Christopher has always protected him since Dave was age 5 and moved in. Christopher finally convinces his brother that he's been protecting him all these years and Dave tries to him free. They end up falling out the tree and going further down the mountainside, pulling up just short of a cliff. Christopher prepares to call for help on his cell phone, but then realizes that Dave needs to save them on his own or he'll never be a man. Christopher tosses the cell phone over the cliff Problem is, Dave can't think of anything to do but follow Christopher around as he tries to get himself out. Christopher finally finds some snow steps but refuses to let Dave follow. He wonders what Dave might have done if he hadn't protected his brother all these years.



Tommy comes looking for them and ends up in the same predicament. Now Dave has three people to save but can't come up with anything. Christopher finally unleashes the most horrible insult he can imagine: he calls Dave "Wussy." A furious Dave comes up with the perfect plan to get them to all to safety. However, he gets up to boast and falls off the cliff. Christopher and Tommy look on in horror, until Dave stands up and reveals there's a path just out of sight beneath the cliff edge. Erin comes along on the path and wonders what they've been doing, Titus realizes that the ski route was closed because it was too dangerous and triumphantly skates off the cliff to the ledge below. Only to realize it's very narrow and he falls down the mountain. Back in the Neutral Room, Christopher is left to try and thaw himself out of a block of ice.
