Top 20 Games

Taking a trip down baseball's memory lane, MLB Network's Bob Costas and Tom Verducci will host a countdown of baseball's best 20 games in the past half-century, the Network announced on Monday.

A pool of nominated games, representing the top regular-season and postseason contests from the past 50 years, will be introduced on MLB Network on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m. ET. Then, the top 20 will be selected and ranked from that pool by a panel of sports journalists and media personalities. The results will be aired in January.

"Every baseball fan, from the casual to the most serious, will love revisiting these epic games," said Verducci. "The baseball itself is exciting, of course, but now the passage of time and the stories behind the events give the games new layers of depth and drama.
