TorchwoodRating: 1 likes, 2 dislikes
A spin-off from the popular BBC program Doctor Who, the word Torchwood is actually an anagram of "doctor who" originally used to label the pilot of the return of the Doctor Who series in order to avoid the episode being leaked before it aired. Fans of the Doctor Who program will recognize the name Torchwood as it appeared in several episodes of the show, along with Captain Jack Harkness, the star character of the Torchwood program. Torchwood is a secret organization outside of the law which was setup to monitor alien activity in Cardiff, where there is aparently a rift in space and time. Although I find the program entertaining it has failed to reach the same popularity as Doctor Who, due in part to the shows continuity problems. Information provided in some episodes may be contradictory to information provided in previous episodes or in episodes of Dr. Who. Die hard Dr. Who, or sci-fi fans in general may find this troublesome. The show has, however, been gaining popularity with the gay and lesbian community around the world, as the characters on the show are not constrained to the traditional heterosexual relationships/love interests. Any character may be seen dating (or what have you) a man, a woman, or a ??? As said on the pilot episode, "Jack will shag anything if its beautiful".

It's set in Wales and sexualy quirkyRating: 0 likes, 2 dislikes
According to the Sci Fi links Torchwood is in production for a second 13 week episode series and James Masters (Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer ) is playing another time traveler from the 51st century There are pics of James in a very swashbuckling outfit (he does swash so well ) on his site jamesmasterslive . I missed a lot of it when it was aired on TV but have recently found it at my local DVD library always a good indication of a popular show.

I like it because it is Welsh and it's true, it is radically sexually all over the place and hey ain't that a new thing.
