"Many millions of years ago, on the planet Cybertron, life existed, but not life as we know it today. Intelligent robots that could think and feel inhabited the cities. They were called Autobots and Decepticons. But the brutal Decepticons were driven by a single goal: Total Domination. In 1984, America was introduced to the new and revolutionary toy line of The Transformers. This toy line was pioneer by featuring action figures that were "robots in disguise". A subsequent cartoon show and a comic book series were created to support the toy line, which quickly became one of the most successful of all times. The television series was on air for 3 years, and captured the imaginations of millions of children all over the world.
