Argh! Well, that had zero closure. There were a few reveals, but nothing too shocking and still no questions answered–plus more questions raised. What makes this worse is that the writers actually rewrote the final script when they found out it was going to be the last episode. I understand having hope that the show would be renewed, especially since they wrote it in November, but come on! Other than the death of a cast member, there was nothing to indicate this was even a season finale, never mind a possible series finale.
And Jay, Tyler, and Will thought Freed would tell the truth to the press because...they said so? I did not get that. |

yup, thought that was silly to leave him in the limo.
How they could walk away without getting 4th Branch info that he was offering was retarded.
And the limo going BOOM was way too deus ex machina for me. |

The showrunner has a blog at TVGuide.com where he said, | David DiGilio Wrote: | | I know there will be questions. When/if we are officially cancelled, I will return to this blog to answer them all with a "series wrap-up" because "the Porters" [what he calls the fans] deserve a satisfactory ending to this journey. Here's hoping we can provide it with more episodes. If not, you'll read it here. | Hopefully, he'll follow through soon.
I understood leaving Freed in the limo because the trio couldn't convince him to tell them anything and they probably couldn't trust anything he said anyway, but that's what made their hope that he'd tell the press anything ridiculous.
And where was Will's crazy ninja skills in the fight with Jay? Okay, he may have had a bullet wound, but what better time to demonstrate how awesome he is?
The show did do something right: the reveal of Chambers' loyalty. It was clear that Carlton Fog expected Chambers to be on his side, so there was just enough warning to be scared for Borjes when he was alone with Whaley and Chambers. And it was a little heartbreaking to think that Borjes and Marlow had a fight the last time they spoke. I have nitpicks about how Marlow found out Chambers had ordered her death*, but I give them that it was a very dramatic reveal.
* Were they both using super-sekrit non-FBI cell phones? Otherwise, one would probably recognize the other's number considering how much they call each other from different locations, right? And I'm assuming "This is Joseph" is code for "Agent Marlow is here, asking questions" because that's all Joseph said before getting the orders to kill her. |
