The secrets of history protects seven mysterious artifacts that when combined, will reveal the key to the treasure. As ten teams of treasure hunters begin their search, one group of five teams find themselves in Alaska and the other group in Hawaii -- neither is aware the other group exists. As each team faces mental and physical challenges beyond their expectations in their respective environments, nothing prepares them for when both groups come face to face and realize the competition just got steeper. Now, ten teams rush to the next location where a mixture of real history and brain-teasing challenges only allow nine teams to move to the next round.

To find the second of seven artifacts that will lead them to the treasure, the remaining nine teams must crack the secret code of Lewis & Clark as they follow in their footsteps through the American West.

To find the third of seven artifacts that will lead them to the treasure, the remaining eight teams must pair up to uncover the secrets of the American Revolution as they travel through America's colonial past.

The seven remaining teams uncover the mysteries of a historic route.
 
5 :01x05 - Follow the Drinking Gourd Part 2 (Jul/17/2006)
Before resuming a difficult trek across a swamp, the teams at the back of the pack consider losing some extra baggage: their fellow teammates.
 
6 :01x06 - The Man Behind The Mask (Jul/24/2006)
To find the fifth of seven artifacts, the remaining six teams must travel abroad to uncover the secret of the man behind the mask.
 
7 :01x07 - Founding Fathers (Jul/31/2006)
As the hunt continues abroad, the remaining five teams must uncover messages protected by an ancient secret society that bound America's founding fathers.
 
8 :01x08 - Episode 8 (Aug/07/2006)
The remaining four teams must overcome infighting to uncover the secrets of an infamous war that protects the code to a mysterious artifact.
 
9 :01x09 - Episode 9 (Aug/14/2006)
The key to the mystery treasure is on the line as the three remaining teams search for the final artifact.
 
10 :01x10 - Episode 10 (Aug/21/2006)
The three remaining teams find themselves in a secret chamber battling to win the rights to head off to a final location to claim a historical treasure worth millions. The live finale will also include the Genworth Online Challenge Hunt where 10 contestants match wits for a chance at $100,000 at various sites along the Washington Mall.
