True Blood

True Blood

Based on the popular Southern Vampire, book series by Charlaine Harris, True Blood follows the adventures of a small-town cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse (who all her life was an outsider due to her gift/curse of being a telepath) and how her life is turned upside down when a member of the undead (the vampire race 'came out of the coffin' several years earlier) walks into her life one fateful night.

I have been looking forward to seeing Fringe for a long time (don't panic I am about to pen thoughts about True Blood). I was so dissappointed with Fringe: formulaic, derivative, wooden acting. My dissappointment led me to look for something new and I discovered True Blood. Read more

My Definition of this genre ist very different, i found that out, when i watched the first episode of true blood. Underlying story is a novel, so I guess either the Novel is no good at all or the TV writers did a bad job, since they find no sence of good Timing within the story, there is no Flow that carries you through, its a stop and go feeling, that left me confused and not very satisfied with it. Conversations are dull and did anybody else recognize that the Actors mumble while they are Vampires *sensational" who let this happen? Some Actors cannot even get their Southern Slang right at times *it`s not hard is it* Read more

6x2: The Sun recap: On a suspension bridge in the middle of the night, a wave of interference hits and a portal of some kind opens. A hand reaches through. Across town, next to Sookie on the night stand, the scroll glows. The words themselves almost seem to lift off the page. Back at the portal another hand pokes through followed by a body.
