Never Let Me Go - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Jason has begun his training to fight the anti-Vampire war. Luke is also training, but having a bit of trouble. The drill instructor is giving him quite the earful as he is unable to climb the fence that is between him and his "family and friends that are being brutally murdered by vampires". Luckily for him Jason had his back and helped him get over the fence.

The instructor and Reverend Newlin are definitely planning something much bigger and scarier than the recruits know about. Sarah, the reverend's wife, feels that it is going too far and doesn't like it one bit. Despite her feelings the reverend is definitely more interested in bringing Jason downstairs to show him all the fire power that he has. The basement is essentially an arsenal. So, he brushes her off and does exactly that. She is hurt because she thinks that they are supposed to be a team.

After the day Jason has had he decides a hot bath would suit him well. Someone walks in and it is Sarah. She is still a bit hurt, but she decides she wants to help him with his bath and relieve some of his stress. She cloaks it with some scripture saying that Mary Magdalene bathed Jesus and dried him off with her hair. She wants to "reward" Jason and help him find his way back to joy. Her interpretation of that was some manual love to his lower parts. He fights it a bit, but soon succumbs to it.

Sam has learned that Daphne is also a shape shifter. She shifts into a beautiful doe. She and Sam bond over it and he seems pretty happy. There is this undertone of shadiness, however. The other new happy couple--Terry and Arlene--are cute and affectionate seemingly still reeling after the party from the night before.

Lafayette has come back and asked to get his job back. He is quiet, humbled, and somewhat short with Sam. Sam assumed that he had been off somewhere enjoying himself, but soon picks up the vibe that whatever Lafayette was doing was definitely not fun. Sam gives him his job back and asks where he was with concern, but Lafayette just walks out of the office.

Things seem to be going fine for a small amount of time at Merlotte's, but Maryanne decides to go there and "influence" the people there to get on Tara's case. Everyone would go up to her giving her lines about how she's not doing what she needs to be doing. Arlene even spilled the beans about her doing things with Sam. Tara can't take much more of it and once Maryanne has her fill she is done and drives off.

That night, Sam and Daphne become closer and decide to have sex. This was on the Merlotte's pool table. She tells him what a wonderful man he is and how he shouldn't hide how truly special he is. He feels like he is truly cared about and someone sees the real him. Despite it being on a pool table, it was a beautiful experience for him.

Back at Sookie and Tara's house, Tara's friends have just decided that they are going to move in. Tara wakes up and notices that Maryanne is still there and all of her fresh fruits are set up just like at the mansion. Tara is put off by this and says that it's not just her house--it is Sookie's house. She can't let them just move in. Maryanne gets a bit sad and lays the guilt on. That is why Maryanne ends up at Merlotte's messing with the behaviors of the people working there.

When Tara gets home after having a pretty rough night at work she tells them that she wants them to stay. Maryanne has taken on a more than strange task by portraying a motherly figure. This typically classy lady has dressed down into what looks like a mu mu. This seems to be exactly what Tara needed at that moment, so they had a bonding moment.

In Dallas, things are strange as always. Sookie is still reeling from having met a fellow telepathic. She goes to track him down in the hotel and he is still not receptive. He fears that if the vampires knew he had this gift they would "suck him dry". She tells Bill about it and he is not pleased that she has shown her gift to another person. Soon they stop arguing to fill that space with some love making. Jessica is in her bedroom with a stolen cell phone talking to Hoyt. They have a sweet conversation about what comic book he is reading.

It is time to get down to business so the trio go to meet up with Stan and Isabel. They have a discussion and then Sookie tells them that they have to have a traitor amongst them since her botched attempted kidnapping. The vampires are very different in Dallas. They are rougher and more blood thirsty. They tend to lack the morale that the Louisiana vampires have. Isabel and Stan bicker back and forth and they all end up in a bit of a disagreement. Eric is becoming less and less calm as the longer that they wait there is more of a chance for Godric to die--again.

Bill decides to ask Eric about Godric and his need to find him. Eric is clearly more concerned than he is known to be. Eric finally breaks down and tells him that Godric is his maker. He tells him about the fact that he was at war and was dying. Godric came and killed the rest of the warriors swiftly. He comes to Eric and tells him he saw him fight and he can either select to die or to live with Godric being his companion.

Sookie decides that she is going to go into the the Fellowship of the Sun just to see if they know where Godric is. Bill isn't into this idea but it is really the only chance. Eric pretty much demands it, anyway. After all of that, Sookie and Bill go back to their room and have quite the romp. While they are making love a woman is walking down the hall of the hotel. She stops at the door and listens in. When she hears Sookie moan "Oh, Bill" her fangs drop and she hisses a bit.
