Sookie walks in after watching Godric meet the sun. She opens the door to Eric's room and he is sitting there in great emotional pain. He is mourning. She apologizes to him for Godric being gone. She kisses his tears and then they kiss, but it is just a dream luckily. She wakes up on a trip back home. When entering in they notice that everything is essentially wrecked and everyone is acting crazy. The van hits people that ran in front of it. Jason and Sookie go out to make sure they are okay and notices that they have black eyes. They then say that they have to go so that they can find Sam because "it is almost time".
At Sookie's house they are building a monument with meat, flowers, and other random things. Karl brings out a dead bird and she says that is perfect for feathers. Andy comes back to the hotel room with all of Sam's stuff from jail. He talks about how crazy everyone is out there. Sam talks to Andy about how Maryanne is a supernatural creature and she is immortal. Sam gets a call from Arlene and they are setting him up talking about it being an emergency. He says he will be right there. Sookie, Jason, and Bill have made it home and Hoyt's mother is there with Hoyt and Jessica. Bill asks what is going on and then Hoyt explains that he thought she had the black eyes due to a bad reaction to her diet pills, but then he noticed most of the town had those eyes. Bill asks how long she has been like that and Hoyt says that she's been like it since the night before. He tells them that she has been going on about getting Sam Merlotte and offering him to God. His mother then goes up to Jason and says "Why don't you offer yourself to me?" Bill asks if she ever calms down. They say that WII keeps her focused, but not necessarily calm. They get her back on the Wii and she is playing the most violent of a game.
Hoyt tells them about how the town has been going to parties at "Maryanne's house" and Sookie asks where that is. He tells her that it is really her house. Sookie asks Hoyt if anyone has been attacked by a beast with claws lately and he says that he heard the woman found in the car had her back scratched pretty badly. Jason snaps and he is going to figure everything out. He says he is going to Merlotte's. Sam and Andy show up at Merlotte's and Andy thinks the place is empty but Sam can smell the people. Arlene comes out and then everyone else crawls out of sections of the bar. They get out of control and Andy tries to stop them by shooting his gun. Terry takes his gun and then starts shooting random parts of the bar until he ends up accidentally shooting someone in the arm. Sam takes this opportunity to take Andy and try to get out of there. They end up in the freezer. Soon Terry realizes that they have them trapped and tells Boathouse to go call Maryanne to let her know. Instead of that she calls "Peanut" for a good time from what was carved into the wall.
At Lafayette's house, Tara is telling her mother that "it" burns like fire. Her mother tells Lafayette that tying her up isn't doing any good for her. He says that it is for both them and her protection. Her mother tries to talk to her and she head butts her. Lafayette tells Tara that she knows that she is stronger than whatever is in her. Tara spits in his face. Her mother says she wishes that Miss Jeanette was still alive and Lafayette tells her that she doesn't need a backwoods witch, she needs thorazine and a padded cell. Her mother starts praying and then Lafayette starts praying too. Tara then says "He's coming, he's on his way and he's gonna kill us all". Sookie and Bill drive up to her house and then go in. Her home is completely destroyed and she calls for Tara. Lafayette calls Sookie and Lafayette tells her to get out of the house now. Maryanne comes up and asks what she is doing in her house. Sookie tells her that it is not HER house. Sookie tells her that she is not scared of her and then Maryanne jacks her up against the wall. Bill throws her off of Sookie and goes to kill her, but when he bites her he gets sick. She goes up to her and asks what she is and Sookie goes "none of your business" and pushes her hand in her face and ends up shocking her back. This is something that Sookie has never done and didn't know she could do.
Sam and Andy are in the freezer are talking about how people are dying. Andy offers his condolences for his loss of Daphne. He then speaks a bit of nonsense. Jason shows up with quite the arsenal of gas masks, guns, flares, and even a chainsaw. He walks into the bar and sees that everyone is having sex and doing weird stuff. Jason says that this party is over and no one will stop. He ends up chain sawing the stereo. Jason snaps and realizes that he needs to hold Arlene hostage. Everyone else wants her to get nailed by him, but he negotiates because Terry doesn't want anything to hurt her. He says he'll let he go as long as they leave and leave them alone. They all leave and he locks the door.
On the way to Lafayette, Bill is throwing up after having fed on Maryanne. He asks what she did to Maryanne, she says that she doesn't know. On the way there, she gives him her wrist so he can heal. At Merlotte's, Jason tells Sam and Andy to get out. A keg gets thrown through the window and the people come back. Sam just offers himself up to them and they take him. At Lafayette's, Tara is chanting. Lafayette tells her to snap out of it and he slaps her as hard as possible. Some girl from college comes to buy some V off of him and he thinks it might be Sookie, but no. Bill hears it and scares her off and then snaps on Lafayette about selling the V. He said that it isn't him and he should talk to Eric, because he is the one who has him pushing it.
They go inside and Sookie sees how messed up she is. Tara tells her to get her out of there or she will kill her. Sookie tries to tap into her but it is all dark and there is nothing there. Tara tells her to stop trying to rape her brain. Bill tells her to go further into her mind than she has ever done before. She sees her but can't go much further. Bill offers to glamor her. At Merlotte's, they put Sam on the top of the car. That is when Jason sends flamethrowers and their attention is taken. Jason pretends to be whatever God they are waiting for. Sam decides to offer himself up to this "God" and asks him to smite him. When he smites him he shapeshifts and everyone thinks that he has gotten rid of him. They are happy and they report to Maryanne for debriefing. They don't know what happened to Sam and he comes out with an extinguisher and he says to help him put the flares out before they start a fire.
Bill is still trying to glamor her. She can finally go into Tara's mind and see everything that she is done. Tara's eyes go to normal and she is back. She looks around and thinks that she is crazy. She's crying and apologizes to her mother for what she did. Sookie decides she needs some air and Bill follows her. Tara hugs Lafayette and remembers Eggs and she says she has to go get Eggs. Sookie is shocked that people other than vampires can do that. She tells Bill about the chant and he remembers when he read a book back in the 30's about various ancient creatures. He believes Maryanne is an ancient creature. He knows a vampire that might know how to defeat her. He needs to go see her. She wants to go, but they decide her friends and family need her. He asks if she can do what she did to Maryanne again but she doesn't know. He kisses her and then he leaves.
Hoyt is locking up the house because his mother is trying to go to the "party". She ends up saying some really nasty things about Jessica and eventually Jessica snaps. She attacks her. Bill shows up at the Queen's and he walks into her home.
