This week's show opens with Bill fighting off the werewolves. He bit one's ears off and has turned them back to human by messing them up. The King shows up and he tells the wolves that they were meant to escort him, not kill him. Cooter--the one wolf who is played by "the guy from Ugly Betty"--tells him that Bill has killed three of them and Bill mocks his name. His leader tells him that he doesn't like improvisation. Bill tells him that they drank from him and he is upset by this, killing one of the wolves himself to prove a point. He then makes Bill get on the horse to go with him.
Lafayette has broken through the bathroom door to catch Tara swallowing all the pills she can. Her mother comes in screaming that she can go to hell for trying to kill herself and Lafayette snaps on her. He slams her out of the way because he was trying to get Tara to throw up the pills and he tells her that "with a mother like you, it is no wonder she didn't try this years ago" and that she has failed her for the last time. He picks Tara up and takes her to the hospital. This is while Sookie and Jessica take a trip to visit Eric about the tattoo that they found on one of the guys (werewolves) that they found in Bill's car. Eric tells her that he has never seen the sign of the tattoo. Eric tells Sookie that there is a reason why most people think that the werewolves are a myth. They are territorial, vicious, and pathological secretive. He tells her that she needs to calm down because knowing her she'll go do something and draw attention to herself which will put her in danger. She tells him not to underestimate her and he tells her not to underestimate herself as her life is too valuable and walks away.
Jessica and Pam are in the bathroom and Jessica asks her how to not kill the person she is feeding on. Pam tells her that it is in the heart beat, the vampire feels it in the blood. When it slows down, you stop feeding on the person. She needs to know how to stop. Pam says she thinks about crying children and maggots. She asks what she does with the body if she did kill someone. Eric and Sookie are still speaking and he tells her that she will not be able to get answers because the werewolves don't want her to even know that she exists. She starts crying and telling him that she can't just sit and wait around knowing that Bill is in danger. She compares her love for him to the love he had for Godric. Eric says that Bill is no Godric and she tells him that she risked her life to find Godric. She isn't asking that he do the same exact thing, but she still needs his help. He tells her not to cry, because that makes him feel incredibly human. Jessica comes in and reminds Sookie that she needs to get home before dawn.
When Sookie leaves, Eric has a flashback to 1945 in Ausburg, Germany. A soldier walks into a house and hears something in house with dead people. There is a woman who looks distressed and asks for help. The man puts down his gun and tells her that it is going to be okay and he won't hurt her. She turns into a werewolf and then Eric and other vampires that look like soldiers come in and stop her from attacking the man. She tells him that they're on the same side and he checks a mark on her collarbone and says that they are not and stabs her. He snaps out of it and crumples a piece of paper that was given to him. Elsewhere, Bill is being taken to where the king lives. There is another man there who may be the son of the king (the prince, I guess) and he tells him that he is late. The king tells him that there were issues with their escort and the man tells him to go get cleaned up and show him his room. Bill is confused by this and thought that he would get an explanation. The younger guy takes him upstairs and explains to him that he just redecorated the guest room and that the bed in that room once belonged to Elizabeth Bathory, Hungary's legendary serial killer. He warns about the door because it is sterling silver. Bill tells them that it is getting worse because he is being held captive. They think that he is a challenge and might have to bring in "the girl".
Lafayette and Tara are still driving and Tara tells him that she doesn't need to go to the hospital, because she has already thrown everything up. He tells her that she shouldn't have done that and she says that she didn't plan it, she just didn't know what to do and wanted peace--she deserves that. He snaps on her by saying "and I deserve to plan your funeral and feel guilty about this forever?" She tells him that if he sends her to the hospital, they are going to lock her up and put her in a padded room and if she has to tell them about Eggs and Maryanne--they will throw away the key. Lafayette tells her that Eggs would want her to live and she says that he doesn't want anything because he is dead. Lafayette tells her that life isn't about not having problems--it is about dealing with ones you have. She doesn't think she can deal and he tells her that she will if he has to do everything in his power to get her to do so. He decides to take her to eat and then show her something.
Sookie brings Jessica home and Hoyt is there. Sookie tells her to be gentle with Hoyt and to call her if she feels anyting from Bill. He brought her True Blood and thought she might be hungry. He has learned that he needs to take better care of her. She is scared that it is in her nature to kill when she gets upset. He thinks it is easy to fight her nature. She goes inside and she cries because she has to push him away and then goes to bed. She sees the dead guy where she put him and she is upset that she has to sleep next to him again. Sookie goes home and the power is out. Jason is walking through the house and she defends herself. She asks him why he is there and he said that he was going to clean the house and then he got hungry. She tells him what is going on while they clean. Jason offers to talk to Andy (the detective) about if he can help. She tells Jason that she told Eggs what he did and Tara blames her. He tells her that she needs sleep and she should let him worry about Bill.
Sam is outside of a house in his car and the kid (his brother) has a rifle and tells him not to move and get out of the car. He calls his family and his parents come out. They ask who he is and they realize that he is their son. They tell their son to put the gun down and he asks them who he is.
Sookie goes to work and drops her keys. She hears someone's mind thinking about grabbing her and still being able to watch the Price is Right. Terry is there asking if she is okay. She asks if she saw someone and she runs off trying to find someone and Terry follows her and goes into war mode. He sees prints and it is a motorcycle boot--size ten. He also notes that the tracks end. He sees a wolf paw print too and Sookie goes digging around and finds clothes.
Lafayette takes her to a clinic and she loses it. He asks the woman at the counter to see Ruby Jean Reynolds--Lafayette's mother. She's very much crazy and he says she's only had one visitor (him) in six months that he has been working there. Andy is having a press conference and he talks about how he was just doing his job. Andy sees Jason and goes to speak to him and tells him to lay low.
Sookie tells Terry to keep it all a secret and he says he is bad at it. He asks her to tell Arlene that he is good at things. Terry gives her a gun and says that he would miss her if she got killed. Sam is still at his birth parents and his mother tells him that she was 16 years old and his dad was doing a twelve year bid. She asks if he had a good life and he says he did until he was 15 years old. His little brother asks what happened when he was 15 and he tells them that he thinks they know. His father tells him that he is special and he has something extra in him and he should be proud of that. He tells him that he hasn't known what was wrong with him. His mother is a shifter and so is his little brother. His little brother wonders about how they feel about not telling him he had a brother.
Lafayette tells Tara that if she tries to kill herself that he will make sure that she ends up in the hospital. Sam goes outside to talk to his new found brother. He seems jealous because he would give anything to be adopted. Sam tells him that his parents weren't rich or normal and they left when they realized that he was a shape shifter. Sam tells him that he never even thought that he had a brother or how to handle a family thing. His brother tells him that he needs to run and cool down. Sam joins him and he is weirded out that he turns into a fluffy, sweet puppy while he turns into a feisty dog--a pitbull. Jessica is renting a chainsaw for the night so that she can get rid of the dead body before Bill gets back. She takes the money out of his wallet and then sprays lysol on him.
At the King's house, they serve him "orange flavored and carbonated blood". Bill asks why he is there and they want to make him sheriff of Mississippi area 2. They are waging war against the Queen of Louisiana, he assumes. The king says he means her no harm and wants to marry her. Bill scoffs and he thinks he will change her mind with Bill's help. Everyone is watching Andy's news piece at the bar. He and Jason have a bonding moment after Jason toasts him for being a hero. Sam and his new brother are going for a run and his brother almost gets him hit by a car. Someone walks into a house and looks around and finds a lot of information about Sookie. Eric shows up at Sookie's house. He tells her that he lied to her and tells her about what really happened with werewolves back in 1945. He flashes back to a time when he went to cure the werewolf woman he attacked and she attacked him. Godric had to snap her neck to protect Eric from being killed. He was in the SS so they could pose to get to the werewolves and get them killed. They aren't "werewolf Nazis" but they have been around a lot longer. He tells her that he is protecting her even though he doesn't care for Bill. He needs to protect her since they are after her, too. He tells her to invite him in so he can protect her or have sex with her. She tells him she is still Bill's and he agrees to it.
At the King's house, he has been given Warm Blood Bisque soup. The king asks if Bill really expects him to believe that he just moved to a small town to date a waitress. He tells him that he knows that he is still working for the queen and he wants to know what her secrets are. Bill tells him that there has been a mistake and doesn't know any of the secrets that she has. They tell him that Sookie is going to have to pay the price for his stubbornness and Bill tells him to leave her out of this. Lafayette takes Tara to the bar because he has to work. Terry goes to talk to Arlene and asks if she is sick. He wrote a list of ten reasons why she can trust her kids with him. By number 3, she gets sick again. He still continues to read them off while she gets sick. A man walks into the bar and goes to talk to Tara. She tells him that she is there because she is trying not to kill herself. He asks her for a B+ True Blood. She asks if he is a friend of Bill Compton's and he says he isn't and asks if she is. She says not really.
Jessica ends up back home with the chainsaw and the body is gone. She goes into panic mode. Andy is trying to get Jason not to drive because he is drunk. He decides to drive him home. While Andy gets into his car, he gets alerted that they are busting a meth lab. He tells him to stay in the car and sees what is going on. The cops deal with the one guy and chase other people. Jason sees a girl and follows her and asks her what is going on. She is crying and runs off with no response to his questions. Jason turns around and sees a guy running and gets him down on the ground and finds drugs. Tara is at Merlotte's outside drinking and there are a couple men that come out and talk about what happened with Eggs. Tara goes over and punches the guy and the guy has some nasty things to say. The vampire from a bit earlier grabbed the guy and tells him to apologize to Tara. She hits him again and he tells him again to apologize to Tara. She beats him down pretty good and the vampire gets aroused by it.
Bill is still having dinner and he tells them that Sookie has nothing to do with it and she is innocent. They find it romantic, except Lorena who says it is not romantic and it is delusional. He snaps on her and throws an oil light at her and she lights up in flames.
Eric and Sookie are still speaking about how she and Bill are together. He tells her out of being worried that he needs to be invited in and sees a werewolf. He goes to attack and Sookie shoots a gun.
