I Don't Wanna Know - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Sookie is screaming because he is at the bottom of the bed naked. He tries to calm her down by saying that Bill asked him to look after her and she asks if he said to do it while naked. He says that he needs to tell her something that he has never told another person and she freaks out because she then thinks it is him that is murdering everyone. She slaps him and him and runs into the bathroom. She hears something and she notices that the dog is out there. The dog then shifts into being Sam. He tells her that he is not the killer, but he is a shape shifter.

Tara is with the voodoo woman and she is beginning the exorcism. She tells her that the demons travel through technology. She spits on her hand and tells her that is cleaner than anything she has on her. Tells her to rub it around her and around her eyes especially because that is where the demon goes inside of the body. She has her drink what is called snake juice because it gets in there and grips up the demon. Amy is with Eddie--the vampire that they kidnapped--and she is draining him more of his body. He thinks it is Jason but it isn't as he comes to. She tells him that he better get his dirty mind off of Jason because he is her's. He says it is not like that and that he is a good person. She tells him that she left a full academic scholarship to go to Guatemala to build an irrigation system for them so they wouldn't get dysentery. She is also an organic vegan and tells him not to get on his moral high horse. She says that she realizes that they are all one living organism and says that he is not and then she beats him because there is a clot forming. When she looks for tape she finds the empty bottles of true blood. She is upset because withholding is "tantamount to lying" and she can't have that because it is beneath them. The vampire defends him saying that he was dying and he just wanted to make sure he didn't. Then he tells her that Jason loves him and that he never cared about anyone before and he even thinks she might be the one. He tells him that if he dies here he will never forgive her--even if he wants to because he's not as evolved as she is.

Sam and Sookie are talking about how he is a shape shifter. He says there are tens of thousands of them and that he was adopted. She is put off by this because she used to scratch his belly in the parking lot. He laughs and tells her that wasn't him--that was a real dog. He needs a real animal to shift properly. She asks if he can turn into another person and he says that humans are too complex despite what she may see at the bar. She asks him if he can do it any time and he tells her he can. He says it wears off if he falls asleep and on a full moon he can't stop the shift. She asks if it is like a werewolf and he said that they are not werewolves. He says that werewolves are dangerous, nasty creatures and are not comparable. She is shocked that they exist too and asks him what else is there. He tells her there is more than she can imagine. She gets overwhelmed and sits down on the steps. She says that life is just getting too weird and too fast. She asks if it was a werewolf that killed her Grandmother and he says he supposes it is possible. She is upset because first Bill is taken away and then she finds out Sam is something she never even knew existed. He goes to comfort her and she is angry with him and doesn't want him to touch her. He says he thought of all people she would understand and she says why because she's dating a vampire?! He says no because she knows what it was like to live with a secret. She says that she doesn't hide who she is and goes to walk in the house. He says that he wanted to tell her for years and she says that she kissed him and asks him if he was going to tell her before or after they did more than that.

The voodoo woman is getting the demon out of Tara. Tara begins throwing up and then she is seeing herself as a little girl. The woman tells her that the demon will take on any shape it can to stay. She gives her a knife and she stabs the "demon". The knife is covered in blood and she falls down crying. The woman tells her that the demon is gone forever now. Jason and Amy are talking in the bathroom and he says he thinks he had too many to drink the night before. Amy sits down on the toilet and says they need to talk about Eddie. She says that while they can't let him go they want to make him more comfortable. She asks him if he knows what Stockholm's Syndrome is and he doesn't so she explains it to him. It is when a victim gets close to their kidnapper. She just wants to make Eddie love them and trust him. They work it out that they are going to keep him as a pet. She says that she has to go to the store and get True Bloods.

Tara goes home to tell her mother that she got the exorcism. She says that it worked and she tells her that she should get dressed and she's going to take her out. At the bar everyone is getting ready for the engagement party. Sookie is mad at Sam and Sam starts talking to Terry about how all families are old they just all keep records of it. Sam flashes back to when he was at his home his dog was barking at him. He started having a strange reaction and he was changing. His adopted mother called for his father and said there was something wrong with him. Sam growled and ran off and shifted into a dog. Lafayette is at home watching television and waxing. Someone comes to his door and he tells him he can't stay long. He wants V juice and says it is sold out. He tells him the client only comes after dark. The man says that he has a speech tonight and he says he can help him with that by giving him oral.

Tara is driving home with her mother and her mother begins to get sick so she pulls over to the drug store and goes in there. She notices that the woman looks familiar and realizes that it is the voodoo woman. She snaps on her saying she should call the cops for scamming them out of money. She asks what was in the snake juice and she says it is ipecac syrup and peyote. Ipecac syrup induces vomitting and peyote is a hallucinogenic. She realizes that she didn't fix her. She doesn't want to tell her mother about the scam so that she'll stay sober. Back at the bar they are having a fantastic engagement party with a great band. They have a rockabilly band playing and Sookie is sitting and drinking orange soda. Terry comes up to her and says that he would ask her to dance but he is not good at it. She says thanks for not asking because crowds make her feel bad that she's not having fun and then she feels guilty for feeling guilty. He tells her that guilt is a useless emotion or so he has heard. She tells him she just wishes Bill was still around. He tells her that there is some dead people that he wishes were still around, too.

Bill is at "vampire court" which is called the tribunal. They are pulling the fangs out of one so that he won't be able to feed for three months. Eric brings Bill to the "judge" and he has to face it. Jason is giving Eddie true blood he is telling him how they want him to be part of the family. He asks Jason what changed her mind and then Eddie asks if she told him about the True Blood she found out he was giving him. He thinks that Eddie is lying but he asks what she said about it. He tells him that she said that witholding is tantamount to lying and Jason is upset because that even sounds like her. Eddie tries to tell him that she is playing him. Jason says that no one plays him and Eddie tells him that he is going to kill him. Lafayette is at Eddie's and he is worried that he can't find him.

Arlene asks Renee to go ask Sookie to dance and he says how not many people like him. She tells him that her and Bill like him and he tells her that while she knows he doesn't have anything against vampires--she could do a lot better than Bill because she is a good girl. Sam cuts in and asks if they could call a truce. She says she is upset that he didn't tell her about the most important part of him. He says that she is with Bill now and she really can't be upset. She says that she knows about Tara and that was another thing that he didn't tell her about. He says that is because there is nothing to tell. She asks her if Tara knows that or the fact that he can turn into a dog. He tells her that he didn't tell her because he knew she would react this way. He said that he trusted his instincts and he was right.

Jason, Renee, and Hoight were all standing around talking and Amy asked if anyone else needed another beer. Renee asks how they met and he tells them that they met at Fangtasia. He says that the bar was nothing but a bunch of losers in black. They both knew when they met that they didn't belong there so they left. Renee tells him that it is not often one finds a good thing and shouldn't pass it up. Jason tells them that he feels that he lost the upperhand. Renee tells him to take it back. He also tells him that if she doesn't respect him that he shouldn't be with her anyway.

At the tribunal the judge tells him that he committed a serious crime. Bill tells him that Long Shadow was about to kill her and she is his. Not only that, but Long Shadow was stealing from Eric. The only reason Sookie was there was because Eric called on her to help him find out who was stealing the money. The judge says that because he listens to the sheriff he won't give the punishment of 5 years in a coffin wrapped in silver that will have him reduced to leather and drive him insane. He says that he is feeling creative. Back at the engagement party, Arlene tells Sookie and Amy that she loves how solid Renee is. She says that all the rest were fixer uppers but he is the best. She loves him because he is so good to the kids. She knows she can count on him and she has never had that in all of her life. Amy says that she knows how she feels because she never knew she could have what she had with Jason and she won't let anyone take that away. Sookie says that she doesn't know how anyone can trust anyone these days because they are always keeping things from you. Amy says that she loves Jason because everything is out on the surface, you don't ever have to wonder what he is thinking. Sookie says that's because he isn't thinking. Tara comes in a beautiful red dress and they tell her she looks great. She says she hasn't worn it since prom night of 2000.

Sookie takes Tara aside and she is completely wasted. She says she's never seen her like this and asks if it is because of Sam. She tells her that it is none of her business and Sookie says that she thinks it's a bad idea to date Sam. Tara tells her that at least Sam doesn't drink her blood. Sam offers the Detective a beer and says that he had an interesting conversation with the man at the nudist colony. Sam tells him that he was adopted and lived on his own since he was fifteen years old. The detective asks him what his wife was like before he moved to the area and people started getting killed. Sam flashes back to when he went home and finds that everyone was gone and they took all of their stuff except for his. Tara takes him away from the detective and tries to get some from him. She is completely wasted and Sam snaps on him. He tells her that he is a person not a proper that she can use whenever she needs to feel better. He tells her that she is not the only one with demons and asks what she wants from him. She tells him nothing and says that she doesn't want anything from anybody.

Lafayette goes to the engagement party and finds Jason and tells him that he needs to keep his mouth shut. He tells him that his supplier is gone and if the vampires find out about it he'll be gone, too. Jason tells him that he has nothing to worry about and Lafayette isn't done with him. Lafayette tells Jason that he is the kind of person that thinks life is just one big game no matter how many dead people are piling up around him. He names Maudette, Dawn, and his Grandmother. He then pushes him down and he says that he isn't going to be next. Back at the tribunal, he tells him that he owes people a life. They let a woman out of a trunk and he tells them no. Bill says that he would rather go in the coffin. The woman had snuck out and it turns out she is just a teenage girl. She said that she snuck out just for one time and just wanted to have fun. She said if they send her back that she won't tell anyone. The magistrate tells her that there is no help for her. She begs at his feet that he not let them kill her because she doesn't want to die.

Sookie goes inside to get more ice and the lights and most of the electric goes out. Someone hops out of nowhere and goes to choke her. She throws the ice bucket at them and runs. They go after her and grab her by the leg and she hops over the kitchen window and runs into Sam. Tara is driving home drunk crying, accelerating. She sees people in front of her and she ends up in a car accident. Jason and Amy are arguing at his house about Eddie. He tells her that he doesn't want Eddie to die and wants to let him go. She says that the vampire is going to end up killing them. He goes to unhook him and she takes a stake and stakes Eddie in the heart, killing him on the spot. Bill offers himself to be tortured instead of the little girl. The magistrate says that according to his records he has never been a maker. He knows procedure and the magistrate tells him to proceed. She asks him if he is a christian and he says he was. She says that she is a good girl and Jesus will take her home to heaven. He tells her that she is safe and glamors her. He tells her everything will be fine. He tells him that glamor is not permitted. She gets scared and fights him. He feeds on her and then all of the vampires are aroused by this. He can't stop himself.
