Man oh man. I really want to like this show. It wins major points for being an original take on vampire mythos. Acting and Six Feet Under writing crew get some props too.
Bad news is the vampire mythos integrated into this is a bit of a hodgepodge, and they integrate the good with the bad. With much regret they chose to integrate the lamest of all vampire lore: That a vampire cannot enter a person's home without being invited, as if Home Deeds are magical. So if the bank owns the house, does the bank manager have to let the vampire in? What if I am renting? Is a vampire not allowed to walk down an alley unless the homeless person gives it permission? Retarded.
