My Definition of this genre ist very different, i found that out, when i watched the first episode of true blood. Underlying story is a novel, so I guess either the Novel is no good at all or the TV writers did a bad job, since they find no sence of good Timing within the story, there is no Flow that carries you through, its a stop and go feeling, that left me confused and not very satisfied with it. Conversations are dull and did anybody else recognize that the Actors mumble while they are Vampires *sensational" who let this happen? Some Actors cannot even get their Southern Slang right at times *it`s not hard is it*
Too much staring, too much artificial tension, no supsense, no thrill for me there when it comes to the subject Vampires and the intense and very nude Sex scenes do not tempt me to come back and watch, because it is totaly overdrawn, looks more like the desperate attempt to get more viewers at any cost. The girl that plays Tara is very annoying, especially when she drinks beer *constantly* during the first three episodes. Might be matter of taste but i just don`t get how Moonlight was 86 for some lame story like this, sorry, or lamely executed story.
