Calvin Payne, played by Lance Gross
In Tyler Perry's House of Payne, Lance Gross plays Calvin Payne, the only child of Ella and Curtis Payne. Calvin seems to always have a hustle, and it primarily involves eating and washing his clothes at his parents’ house for free. Much to the annoyance of his father and confusion of his mother, Calvin is forever changing his college schedule and makes them wonder if he ever goes to class. Just like his cousin CJ, Calvin spends a fair amount of his time reluctantly working with his father as a volunteer firefighter down at the station.
