Vera is a crime drama series starring Brenda Blethyn as DCI Vera Stanhope, who attempts to track down different killers with the help of DS Joe Ashworth.
Episode Info
Vera and Joe are called in to investigate a suspicious death in an army barracks and they are helped by Shep , an enthusiastic and pro-active member of the Military Police. The death of commanding officer Dev looks like suicide at first but murder is soon established as the cause and the team need to find both a motive and a killer.
Vera is called in to investigate the murder of 29 year old Niall Coulter. Vera attempts to to peel back the seemingly layers of his life and learns a deeper truth which those closest to him seem unwilling to give up. IAfter the body of a drug dealer is found washed up on a Northumberland beach the truth starts to emerge about the heroin found present in Niall’s body.
