Duncan Kane [Ep. 1-33], played by Teddy Dunn
Duncan Kane, the son of billionares Jake and Celeste Kane and the brother of Lilly Kane, was at one time Veronica's boyfriend. Though their relationship strained as the investigation of Lilly's murder dragged on (including to some areas the '09ers didn't approve of), Duncan and Veronica remained friendly if not entirely friends.
After solving Lilly's murder, Duncan was there to pick up where their relationship had left off--he had ended it not because of the murder, but because he had been told that Veronica was his sister, which later proved to be false. Duncan and Veronica were happy, but after the bus crash, there was another turnabout of events--his former girlfriend, Meg, was discovered to be pregnant with Duncan's baby. After Meg's death, Duncan was forced to kidnap his own daughter and go on the run to prevent Meg's abusive, religious zealot parents from raising the child.
When Lilly's killer managed to beat the system, an enraged Duncan called in a favor from Clarence Wiedman and had his sister's murder avenged. He is currently living in Australia, far from the influence of his daughter's grandparents. |
