1 :01x01 - Pilot (Sep/22/2004)
Still troubled by the events surrounding the murder of her best friend Lilly Kane, Veronica Mars returns to Neptune High for the start of her junior year. Veronica has to deal with the wrath of Weevil when she helps the new kid in town, sophomore Wallace Fennel, down from the school's flagpole he’s been duct-taped to. To save Wallace from further torture from Weevil and his biker buddies, Veronica strikes up a deal to help them out. She devises an intricate plan that helps the gang avoid trouble with the law. Veronica also discovers unsettling information about her mother, who abandoned Veronica and her father a year ago, while pursuing a case of adultery against billionaire Jake Kane.

2 :01x02 - Credit Where Credit's Due (Sep/28/2004)
Veronica and Wallace seem to have formed a new bond with Weevil and his cronies when they find themselves defending Weevil, who has been arrested for stealing credit card applications from Logan's family. Meanwhile, in journalism class, Logan’s new girlfriend Caitlin and Veronica get off on the wrong foot, but Veronica is curious about the attention shown to Caitlin by classmate Troy. Later, Veronica finds out Lilly got a traffic ticket on the day she died -- two hours after her supposed time of death.

3 :01x03 - Meet John Smith (Oct/12/2004)
Even though it brings up her own painful and personal memories for her, Veronica agrees, with Wallace's help, to look for the father of her classmate Justin, who has been missing for 10 years. Veronica is also having a hard time dealing with conflicting feelings she is having concerning past and present loves. Keith is called to the school by the guidance counselor who is concerned about how Veronica is handling all the changes that she has been forced to deal with lately. One of the issues that Veronica and Duncan have in common is dealing with is the upcoming anniversary of Lilly's death.

Troy's car is stolen from a diner parking lot shortly after he, Logan and Logan's pal Luke return from a trip to Tijuana. Afraid to tell his dad, Troy turns to Veronica for help. Luke, too, asks Veronica for help---the thief took with him the steroids Luke was smuggling across the border. Also: Veronica learns that her dad and Ms. James, the school counselor, are dating; and she discovers a safe-deposit key her mother left behind.

Veronica turns her sleuthing skills to the student council election after Duncan is elected president, beating a more popular student whose campaign platform included the elimination of the wealthy students' on-campus perks. Meanwhile, Logan’s hobby of organizing boxing matches between homeless men becomes a PR nightmare for his movie star parents when a video of the fights is posted on the internet. Later, Veronica and Keith continue to question the confession of the man who admitted murdering Lilly when crime scene photos tell a different story.

All the students at Neptune High have taken the latest online purity test, and someone is leaking the results. One “exposed” cheerleader turns to Veronica and computer geek Mac to reveal the hacker behind the spread of what she claims are faked results. Keith helps Wallace and his mom with an unruly tenant in their building. Later, Veronica arranges a prison visit with Abel Koontz, the man who confessed to Lilly’s murder.

Lynn Echolls hires Keith to investigate a threatening letter sent to Aaron. He must track down the woman who sent the letter and stop her from coming to the Echolls Family's annual Christmas party.

Someone steals Weevil's winnings in a poker game with the 09ers, and he starts stealing stuff that belongs to them. They ask Veronica to help find out who stole the money so that they will get their stuff back.

When a teacher gets accused of sleeping with a student, Veronica and Keith find themselves on different sides of the situation. Meg asks Veronica to help her find herself secret admirer. Veronica finds herself working a love when she is also asked to track a Russian bride's estranged fiancé. Logan gets a rush of hope that his mother may still be alive after finding that one of her credit cards has been being used, leading Veronica and Logan to a Los Angeles hotel in hopes of finding her or a clue.

After the apparent kidnapping of Neptune High's beloved mascot, Polly the Parrot, Veronica is hired to track her down and get her back. Her detective work leads her to go undercover at a rival school on the eve of a big basketball game. Veronica has an emotional reunion with her mother who she has not seen sense her mother left the family the year before. When Veronica’s suspicions about the Kane family are renewed Veronica attempts to get her hands on her father's original interrogation tapes of Lilly’s murder. Veronica’s love life also seems to be getting renewed as Veronica’s relationship with Deputy Leo heats up.

When it becomes obvious that someone is trying to distract Valedictorian hopeful Sabrina, from being able to achieve this honor by distracting her from her studies and wrecking her grades, Veronica sets out to investigate who the culprit could be. Keith receives a business proposition from an unlikely source and in the ongoing investigation into Lilly’s murder Veronica tried to discredit Abel Koontz’s confession. Things become awkward for Veronica and the few classmates she has as friends when Logan discovers the file that she is keeping on everyone that has anything to do with Lilly’s murder.

In some hair twisting turn of events Veronica must betray someone she cares deeply about in order to solve the season-long mystery of who murdered her best friend Lilly Kane. But once she figures out who it is getting the person to confess or the police to believe her will put more people the just Veronica in danger.

Meanwhile, on the eve of a reception for the Governor of Calif., Jake Kane asks Duncan if he really wants to know what happened on the night Lilly died. Later, Keith awaits the results of a paternity test.

Recalling the overwhelming events of her summer, including the capture of Lilly's murderer, Logan falling under suspicion of murder when one of Weevils biker buddies gets killed, and the chaos that surrounded his trial that pushed her back into the arms of Duncan, Veronica is determined to settle into "normal" life. She gets a new after-school job and returns to the popular fold at Neptune High, but she gets pulled back into the investigation business when her best friend Wallace is kicked off the basketball team for testing positive for drugs.
Keith sits down with reporter Julie Chen to discuss his new book on the Lilly Kane murder, "Big Murder, Small Town." After the difficult summer Logan has had he seeks refuge from the paparazzi and relaxes pool-side at the Casablanca's mansion with buddies Dick and "Beaver" and their sexy stepmother Kendall.

The local sheriff comes to a quick judgement when tragedy hits the town of Neptune when an accident occurs on a school outing. Veronica tries to give a grieving family member some solace when they feel that suicide may have been a contributing factor in the accident, by ruling out that possibility. When the daughter of a professional baseball player shows up as a new student at Neptune High, Wallace offers to help her find the person who damaged her car in the school parking lot. Keith is surprised when mayoral candidate Woody Goodman asks him to consider running for sheriff.

A young woman comes to Mars Investigation to hire them to see if her new fiancé is secretly after her fortune that she believed he knew nothing about. Veronica takes on the case even after her dad refused to accept the case. Veronica goes sifting through his background and tests his loyalty by posing as an available coed in need of help. After being stalked by a mysterious stranger Alicia turns to Keith for help, who soon finds out he is not so mysterious after all. Later, Weevil admits to Veronica that he received an anonymous phone call concerning the school bus crash.

Although she has not taken a liking to her she is trying to give her the benefit of the doubt sense she means so much to Wallace. Leading Veronica to appear on a psychic's community access show to pursue a lead, only to learn that her detective work might not be the only part of this situation she is a part of. Wallace confronts his mother Alicia about who his real father is. In her on going search for the truth about the buss crash, Veronica learns of a voice mail recording from one of the students that died, made at the moment the bus crash.

Because Aaron Echolls has been charged and facing a trial for the murder of Lilly, the previously accused Abel Koontz is free and out of prison. When a witness comes forward Logan is arrested for the murder of biker Felix Tombs and meets with a surprise visitor while in jail. A family is being tormented by someone as pictures of their son who dies in the buss crash start showing up, and phone calls with his voice on the other end are answered by his parents, and miniatures toys of school busses start showing up all over the house. Because they are sueing the school for the death of their son they fear that these visous actions are an attempt by the school to scare them from following through on the suit. Meanwhile Veronica gets herself in a very dangerous situation when she agrees to help Logan asks fight the murder charge against him. Later, Weevil's leadership of the P.C.H. Bike Club Boyz is put into question.

After getting caught in the school office Veronica is ordered in detention. While serving her time reorganizing the school’s files, she stumbles upon her mother’s permanent record and learns that she was suspended. While trying to find out the reasons for her mothers suspensions she learns more about who her mother was and starts to questions what she thought she already knew. Trina Echolls returns to direct a Neptune High play and takes an immediate dislike to Logan’s new flame Kendall Casablancas. The more Veronica learns about the past the more convinced she is that Trina has more to do with it then either of them could imagine, Trina may also be the key to what kind of person Veronica's mother is. Weevil confronts Logan directly about Felix’s murder.

Basketball star Rachard tries to take the pressure off of himself and shine it on Wallace when Wallace tells a reporter that Rashard was behind the wheel in the deadly hit-and-run accident in Chicago, by turing the story around and implicated Wallace as the driver in the crash. After Keith swipes interview tapes regarding the bus crash from the sheriff's office he discovers some surprising information. In the two minutes that Veronica is in possession of the proceeds from the Winter Carnival for the senior class trip it all disappears. To clear her name Veronica must identify the thief among them. During her investigation she is surprised when she finds herself defending Jackie as accusations fly. Keith confronts his baseball idol and client Terrance Cook with questions about his past and the bus crash. Later, Dick tries to humiliate his brother Beaver in front of his carnival date, only to learn it probably wasn't worth the price he was going to pay for it. Logan sets his sights on a sophomore whose family may have a vested interest in how well Logan's legal problems go away or become more of a problem.

While checking out Hearst College with Wallace, Veronica is stunned to run into her shady ex-boyfriend Troy Vandergraff during the tour, but the real surprise comes when Troy gets accused of date rape on campus and calls Veronica for help.

Meanwhile, Logan's legal troubles and ongoing relationship with Hannah both reach important turning points. Later, after receiving a call for help, Keith arrives at a hotel and finds his attorney buddy Cliff in a compromising position in a room.

A restless Veronica is plagued by dreams in which the students killed in the bus crash confront her. When Gia is convinced she's being stalked, Veronica takes the case despite her dad's orders not to get involved because he believes Woody might be up to something. What she discovers not only shocks both girls but also leads to further questions.

Meanwhile, Woody enlists Keith's help in trying to avoid a scandal when he ends up with a passed-out woman in his motel room. Also, when Principal Clemmons cancels the prom because of drinking violations on the senior trip, Logan takes it upon himself to throw an "alterna-prom" in his Neptune Grand suite.

Aaron's trial date finally arrives, and Keith and Veronica find it difficult and emotional to testify and to see Aaron still denying any involvement in Lilly's murder or the attempt on Veronica's life. Logan is upset but not surprised when his father asks for a visit from him only to ask him to lie during his testimony.

Lucky, the janitor at Neptune High, comes back to the school with a gun and a score to settle after being fired from his job. Jackie feels extra security and affection for Wallace only to feel more distance from her father. Veronica takes advantage of her invitation to study at Gia's house to get her hands on some of Woody's files, which lead Veronica and her dad to some surprising revelations.

46 :03x02 - My Big Fat Greek Rush Week (Oct/10/2006)
Veronica goes undercover during a sorority rush for her first assignment at the college newspaper. She is hoping to follow some leads the newspaper has gotten to close in on the campus rapist. In true Veronica style while she is trying to get into the sorority to get a closer look she finds a few enemies and answers in places she didn't expect. Logan and Wallace are put to the test when they volunteer for a class project that if they succeed at, will get them out of the term paper due at the end of the class. To test the effects of torture half of the project volunteers are guards trying to extract information to where a fake bomb is from the other half of the students who are posing as prisoners. The guards have 48 hours and any means possible to try and get the information from the prisoners, while the prisoners have to put up with the guards without giving up the info to "win".

A campus football player hires Veronica to help him recover a stolen playbook before the next practice, or risk losing his scholarship. Veronica is threatened with expulsion when she won't reveal to Dean O'Dell one of her sources from the article Veronica wrote about the campus sorority. Logan tells Veronica his schedule is keeping them apart, but she realizes he has been spending time participating in illegal gambling. We get to see the first of Weevil this season when Veronica convinces Keith to hire him to assist with office work at Mars Investigations.

As Veronica is looking through Logans financial reports she uncovers that there are large sums of money that are missing and follows the trail to someone names Charlie Stone (played by Gilmore Girls star (Matt Czuchry). Keith is hired by Harmony (Laura San Giacomo) who is convinced that she is married to a cheating husband. Because of a Pre-nup agreement she has to prove she is leaving him because of an affair on his part or lose everything she has.

Dean O'Dell expels Claire after Veronica exposes her for faking her rape.
After Veronica does very well on a paper most of the class failed, Professor Landry offers to be her faculty advisor if she would change her major to Criminology. However, is accused by another student of plagiarizing her paper.
After getting caught cheating on a mechanical engineering exam, Wallace is given a choice of getting zero on his or dropping the course -- He chooses to take the zero and struggle to make the grade so he can stay in his major. To do so he asks the coach for the semester off to focus on his school work in turn giving up the chance to be a starter on the basketball team.
Keith and Harmony spend more time together.

Veronica is hired by Bonnie, a promiscuous classmate, to find out who secretly slipped her the morning after pill, causing her to have a miscarriage. The investigation leads her to the office of Bonnie's boyfriend, Tim Foyle, and while searching his computer, Veronica discovers Tim has uncovered a witness to Dean O'Dell's death. Together, Keith and Veronica visit Bonnie's father, a well-known televangelist, Reverend Capistrano.

Veronica confronts Logan about sleeping with Madison Sinclair while they were broken up.

No sooner has Wallace rejoined the Hearst basketball team, when the basketball coach, Tom Barry (guest star Matt McKenzie), is found dead. The coach's widow, Kathleen Barry (guest star Tracey Needham), hires Keith to investigate the murder of her husband and to clear her son, Josh (guest star Jonathan Chase), who is Sheriff Lamb's prime suspect. Logan is wallowing in self-pity after his breakup with Veronica, so Dick invites two girls over to cheer Logan up, but Logan gets stuck entertaining Heather (guest star Juliette Goglia), who is only 13 years old. Keith and Veronica discover that the alibis given by Mindy O'Dell (guest star Jamie Ray Newman) and Professor Landry (guest star Patrick Fabian) do not match.

Veronica catches Tim Foyle, breaking into Mars Investigations. Meanwhile, Keith questions Mindy O'Dell, finally making her believe that Hank Landry killed her husband, and Keith arrests Landry in the middle of a class. Later, Wallace notices Logan and Parker enjoying a nice lunch together.

Veronica is hired by a Middle Eastern restaurant owner to find out who has been vandalizing their business with ethnic slurs. While investigating the case, Veronica and the restaurant owner are attacked in a drive-by shooting. When a drunk teenager stumbles from a bar and gets hit by a car, Keith orders his deputies to conduct surprise ID checks in all the area bars. While doing his own surprise search, Keith catches Piz and Wallace using fake ID's provided by Veronica. Meanwhile, Logan decides to throw a birthday party for Parker.

Desmond Fellows (Paul Rudd), a singer/musician from a 1990's pop band arrives on the Hearst campus to perform at a benefit concert to keep the station from going out of business. Piz gets the job of his dreams when he is put in charge of hosting Fellows around campus and on air. However his dreams start to dissolve as things don't go quite how he imagined, in more ways then one. Keith is excited about the upcoming Sheriff's race unopposed until he unwittingly helps promote an unlikely candidate who throws his hat into the ring.

Veronica passes her exam to be an official Private Investigator, while Piz lands an interview with Apollo Bukenya, an African student at Hearst who wrote a book about his years as an orphan child-soldier in Uganda's rebel army. Veronica is hired by an African man, Kizza, to help prove that he is Apollo's father, but her investigation leads to information that might expose Apollo's story as a fake. Meanwhile, as the election for Sheriff nears, Keith is faced with a crime spree in Neptune. Parker comes to Veronica for advice about Logan after learning he planned to spend the summer surfing with Dick.

Weevil is arrested for selling fake debit cards to Hearst students, but claims he is being framed because of his criminal background, and asks Veronica to clear his name. On Piz's radio show, Keith debates Vinnie about the upcoming election, while a tipsy Dick apologizes to Mac for the way he has treated her in the past. Veronica and Piz make up after their argument about spending their summer apart, and a mysterious sex tape of the two finds its way to the Internet.

Furious that Logan attacked Piz, Veronica tells Logan she wants nothing to do with him. Parker confronts Logan about still having feelings for Veronica, while Piz assures Veronica that he had nothing to do with the sex video. Veronica, with Weevil's help, investigates how the tape originated and discovers a person from her past is linked to The Castle and pays them a visit. With the re-election campaign nearing, Keith steps in to protect Veronica.
