After breaking up with Veronica Duncan flees with Meg's baby believing this is the only way to keep her safe. An FBI team, headed up by tough, seasoned Agent Morris (played by Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless ), is called in to pursue Duncan. The reasons that caused Wallace to head back to Neptune catch up to him. Logan and Weevil find themselves brawling in school, to cover up the unlikely fact that they are actually on the same side of a fight as they hook up to weed out which one of Weevil's P.C.H. Biker Boyz framed him for murder.

| Sadly, this episode marks Teddy Dunn's last episode on Veronica Mars as Duncan. |
| |
| | |
| Veronica: Don't lie to me! I trusted you the first time, but not anymore, I'm nobody's fool.
Duncan: Perfect. Meg's dead, I can't see my daughter, but by all means Veronica, let's make this about you. Why shouldn't it be like any other day?
Veronica: God, shut up about Meg already! I'm alive, I'm your girlfriend!
Duncan: Not anymore.. | Wallace: I came over here to see Veronica Mars.. who's this emo girl? | Veronica: Oh..
Keith: What do you mean "oh"? I was expecting shock and indignation. | Cliff: The sheriff thinks you're an accomplice. And that you helped Duncan plan and finance this kidnapping.
Veronica: That's a lot of thinking for Lamb. He may tire himself out. | Vinnie Vanlowe: Heey Veronica, what's the hap's?
Veronica: Oh, you know, I didn't think there would be air conditioning, but other than that, this is pretty much how I pictured Hell. | Logan: Hey listen, I need you to do me a favor.
Dick: It's not that favor that Bobby Brown does for Whitney, is it? | (playing a videogame involving girls in bikinis)
Dick: Oh no honey, bad set, bad set! Don't make daddy hose you down.
Logan: You're not really complicated, are you Dick?
Dick: Tryin' not to be. | Vinnie Vanlowe: Okay, let's say I sweeten the pot. Let's make it $5000, karma points are yours to keep, and if you act now, I'll throw in a free set of steak knives.
Veronica: I don't know where he is!
(...)
Vinnie Vanlowe: Veronica, 72 hours from now I'm gonna have that kid back. You'll wish you had those steak knives. | Agent Morris: I think we should make it clear right from the get-go that we are here to get that baby back. And we are willing to combine our resources...
Sheriff Lamb: ... I'll share anything that you need...
Agent Morris: ... until such times you piss us off. And when that time comes, and it usually comes quickly in sleepy-burger-world's-biggest-ball-of-stringsville or wherever the hell we are this week, when that time comes, we will cut you out like you were a meter maid. | Sheriff Lamb: Before we get in there, you should probably know something about Veronica Mars. We need to be careful with this one. She's... slippery.
Agent Morris: Sheriff, we have interrogated Al Qaeda members at Gitmo. I think we can handle a teenage girl. | Keith Mars: (hurt and angry) You played ME! |
| |
| Veronica: (while reading in some magazine) Nick and Jessica.. is nothing sacred?
Nick & Jessica are a celebrity couple that recently broke up. They had their own show called Newlyweds. | Veronica: Morning, Sam.
Vinnie Vanlowe: Morning, Ralph.
Sam & Ralph are characters from the animation series The Looney Tunes Show, where they play a cat-and-mouse kind of game every episode. See the wikipedia page for more information. | 'The numbers' from Lost (4 8 15 16 23 42) can be seen at the bottom of Veronica's fortune-cookie fortune. | In the scene where Veronica uses her cellphone, a flyer visible on a billboard behind her reads:
Teenage

| Episode Title: Donut Run
In episode 1.03, Meet John Smith, we learned that "Donut" is the nickname Lilly had for Duncan. | The fortune-cookie fortune that Veronica has is the one the Duncan gave her in episode 2.01, Normal is the Watchword. |
