Episode Quotes

Clemmons: I can't decide if my life is going to be easier or more difficult with you gone. Anything I should know in case I get another one like you someday?
Veronica: Don't keep all your passwords taped on the bottom of your stapler. And stay cool, Mr. C.

Veronica: I don't know if I like the idea of you running around a place full of armed, drunk businessmen.
Keith: This is why I rarely go to Texas.

Dick: Guess who's going commando?
Duncan: Must we?

Aaron: Hello, Logan.
Logan: What are you doing here?
Aaron: Well, I need a place to stay. How are the suites?
Logan: Well, probably an improvement over your previous digs. Might be a little weird, though. I don't think any of the other guests killed anyone.

Mac: Guess what?
Veronica: What?
Mac: Beaver got us a room at the Neptune Grand for tonight.
Veronica: Ooh-la-la!
Mac: Any advice?
Veronica: Close your eyes and think of England?

Keith: You all packed?
Veronica: Vagabond shoes and all. And pepper spray, for if we run into that Trump character.

Veronica: Where's your brother?
Dick: I think he took Ghost World up to his room. They're probably up there making love. Or playing Dungeons and Dragons. Or both, at the same time. They're both, like, 12th-level dorks. I'm just saying.

Keith: I was a little surprised to find, you know, Logan on the couch, but it was better than finding him elsewhere, right?

Veronica: There is neither a Santa Clause nor an Easter Bunny. And there are no angels watching over us. Things happen for no reason. And nothing makes sense.

Episode Goofs

Lianne Mars:
Puts 3 (burnt) pancakes on Veronica's plate and when the plate is shown again there is one.

Cultural References

Woody Goodman goes under the alias "Mr. Underhill" at the Quail Creek Lodge. Same alias was used by Frodo Baggins in Lord Of The Rings at his stay at the Prancing Pony.

You look mahvelous!
Keith tells Veronica she looks "mahvelous" when he sees her ready for graduation. His intonation is that of Billy Crystal's character "Fernando" who appeared in a number of episodes of Saturday Night Live. Crystal even got a 1980's pop song out of the shtick.

Dungeons and Dragons...12th level dorks
Dick Casablancas refers here to a role playing game. In the game, players take on the roles of characters described by sets of numbers. These characters gain "levels" as they play that reflect their increasing power. The game has been associated with nerd culture almost since it came out in the 1970's.

Episode References

Duncan: CW?
Clarence Weidman: It's a done deal.

A referrence to VM (hopefully) being picked up by The CW next season.
