  Episode Quotes
Opening narration: Far away in a distant galaxy, the people of the planet Prysmos lived in an age of great technology. They had taken control of all of the sources of energy, and enjoyed a life of comfort and ease for 7,000 years... but this was not to last, for the realignment of the three blazing suns of Prysmos signalled the end of the age of science and technology. [...] When all of the electrical energy have been depleted from the world, an age of magic began. But it would take some time before man would believe this. Years passed, and as the old order collapsed a new more primitive order rose form the rubble. [...] Knowing that the balance of power between Darkstorm and Leoric could easily be tipped, both frantically searched for a military advantage.

Merklynn: Attend me, knights of Prysmos, and her my challenge! All who can ascend the mountain, survive the many traps set before you and reach my Shrine shall be rewarded with magic more powerful than your wildest dreams! This is my solemn promise!

Darstorm: Perhaps we should relieve those behind us of the burden of following...

Darkstorm: You seem to have a problem, cliff dweller.
Arzon: It is not a problem, it is a cleverly disguised opportunity. Where there's hope, there is always a way.

Darkstorm: Mortdredd, do something treacherous that I may put those knights behind me.

Ectar: Mortdredd, why don't you speak? Is your tongue sore today from licking your master's boots? Stick it out, let me see...

Galadria: Were it not for your vulgar perfume, I might haven't known you were sneaking up behind me!
Virulina: I wasn't sneaking, I was trying to avoid seeing your wreckage face!

Cravex: GET US DOWN FROM HERE!!!
Darkstorm: I could, but to do so it would require considerable afford form my part, which I could only do fro my loyal subjects. Therefore, if you desire me to carry out this deed, you must swear loyalty to me.
Lexor: It would me an honor to serve with the infamous Dark Storm.
Cindarr: You got good food in your castle?
Darkstorm: The best!
Cindarr: Then I'm in!
Cravex: You leave me little choice, so rule me well or suffer the consequences!

Merklynn: Congratulations, noble knights. You have survived the final test. You - and you alone - had the vision to reach the Shrine. You are the Visionaries. And I deem you worthy now to receive my magic, magic that will help you and your people prosper in this new age.

Darkstorm: I propose that magic shall only be used to preserve peace on Prysmos!
Ectar: I can't believe I'm hearing this!
Leoric: Nor can I, but... (to Darkstorm) I second your proposal. May the age of peave last forever!
Everyone: FOREVER!!
Cindarr: We're not really gonna honor that treaty, are we?
Darstorm: Of course not! And Leoric knows it, but he is bound to honor his commitment, I am not. (chuckles) It is no much easier to be evil...

  Analysis
Names, Totems and Weapons

There seems to be some sort of connection between some of the knights' names or weapons and the Totem they are given to. Leoric: Leo is Latin for lion (his Totem), and he uses a whip as a weapon, which is the commonly used weapon to tame felines. Feryl's name seems to be a play on the word feral, which comes from Latin fera meaning "wild animal" (wolf). Witterquick is the quickest man on Prysmos; his weapon is a boomerang which is very fast when thrown. Galadria's weapon is a trident-like knife (the trident is the symbol the Neptune; the God of the seas, her Totem is the Dolphin). Reekon's sword looks like a lizard's scaled tale. Mortdredd's scythe looks like an insect's limb. And Virulina's sword looks like a shark's dorsal fin.
