Jeff Kober was fantastic as the drug-dealing Kurt Nypo is this episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. Mr. Kober's signature "bad guy" characterization was remarkable. He was the personification of pure evil. The use of his teenage stepson as a drug courier was just an example of the depths to which this character would sink. The brutal beating Nypo gave the boy's mother was horrific. All and all, this episode demonstrated just how good Jeff Kober has honed his skills as an actor. The only real problems to be found were the fight scenes. Nypo (Kober) and Walker (Norris) just did not come across as believable. Every move in the altercation between the two characters had the feel of a staged reinactment. Much better work was to be expected from Norris in this area.
