Jump Wings
When Irv Bannister and Dan Lundy get in a tussle over Lundy wearing the Army Parachutist jump wings, Lundy says he has no right to wear them and that he must earn them like he himself did. This is a very common attitude among those who are airborn qualified. They take offense to those who wear the wings without having earned them. It isn't unfounded either, as the wings signify the completion of a tough and long training to be qualified as a parachutist. |
