Reset (2) - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Pete and then Myka wake up inside of Warehouse 2, and discover that Helena set off a self-preservation system when she left. Sand is flooding into the building. With time running out, the agents spot a hatch in the roof and look for an artifact to fly up to it. They locate the Wings of Daedalus and Pete dons them, and then flies Myka up to the hatch. They try to open it using the handle but it breaks off. They get a signal on the Farnsworth and Artie warns them that Helena is a bad guy. He then tells them to close their eyes and signs off. Suddenly the hatch opens as Artie, waiting above, uses an artifact. Once the agents are outside, Artie explains that he tracked their signal, came to Egypt, and reset the signal to avoid Helena's scrambler.

Back at the warehouse, Artie figures that Helena has been planning the entire scheme for a long time, even before she was bronzed. Mrs. Frederic appears and explains that she had a cognitive connection to Warehouse 2, and she can access it temporarily. The agents tell her where Helena went and Mrs. Frederic determines she was near a rack of spears, and one was missing. Before she can identify which one, she loses the image. Claudia tracks Helena to Paris and explains that Christina was murdered there. They wonder if Helena wants to resurrect her daughter.

As Pete and Myka head for Paris, Kelly calls Pete and worries about what happened to him. She wonders if he doesn't want to see her any more, and Pete insists that he loves her and she'll have him to herself after this one last trip. Myka congratulates him and they head for Paris.

Claudia finds Artie handling spears in the ancient section. She brings up how Dr. Vanessa and Mrs. Frederic said she'd be ready for whatever happens with the warehouse, and worries that she's not ready. Artie assures her with all his heart that she'll only do what she wants, and promises to make sure of that.

In Paris, Pete and Myka discover that the graves were moved years ago. A local tells them that the cemetery moved many years ago. The agents figure that Helena arranged for the upkeep of Christina's remains, and employed a lawyer.

Helena captures Mr. Sempe, her lawyer, and forces him to go along with her so he can sign the necessary papers to give her full access.

Pete and Myka arrive at Sempe's office and find his unconscious secretary. They find a file on the mausoleum where Christina's body is stored.

At the mausoleum, Sempe removes the casket and Helena pours black tar on the floor. She explains that it's primordial tools and orders Sempe to stand in it. Once he does, she pours water on it and he starts to sink into what has become a miniature tar pit. Pete and Myka arrive but rescue Sempe while Helena slips away. However, she leaves Christina's remains behind. Myka realizes that Helena didn't have the spear, and that she took the u-shaped handle from the coffin.

The agents show the remaining handle to Artie and the others via Farnsworth. Mrs. Frederic realizes that Leena was drawing the shape after she was exposed to MacPherson's mental influence. When Artie draws it pointing upward, he realizes that it's the outer tines of the Minoan Trident, the very first weapon of mass destruction. It was the first artifact locked away by Alexander the Great in Warehouse 1, and the Minoan civilization was destroyed in a volcanic explosion caused when someone jammed the trident into the ground three times. They realize that Helena found the outer tines in the 1800s and put them on her daughter's coffin. MacPherson planned to use her to get the trident body and had her debronzed, and Helena killed him to stop him from telling Artie their plans. Claudia tracks Helena to Wyoming and Artie orders the agents back. Mrs. Frederic and Artie hope that the worse that could happen is that Helena tries to sell the trident.

Kelly finishes an operation and receives a package with a note from Pete. Inside is a compact with the letters LAB on it. She figures he did it because Labradors are they're favorite breed. She sends a photo of herself to Pete using the compact. As Pete and Myka arrive at the warehouse, Myka realizes that he had bad vibes about Helena all along. He tries to lie and then insists that he trusted her instincts, and Myka admits that her instincts were bad.

Helena calls Pete on his cell phone and they try to trace the call while Pete stalls. She warns him that she's buried her trail and left Kelly a present in his name. Pete rushes out to check on Kelly over Artie's objections. Meanwhile, Claudia confirms that Helena is heading for Yellowstone Caldera, and Artie realizes that she plans to use the trident to set off an Ice Age. He sends Claudia to back up Pete while he and Myka go to Yellowstone by helicopter.

Pete arrives at the clinic and finds Kelly staring at the compact. She then draws a knife and tries to kill him, insisting that she's doing it out of love. Pete manages to subdue her and she snaps out of it and asks for a glass of water. Once his back is turned, she injects Pete with a tranquilizer.

Artie and Myka go to the caldera and find Helena there with the trident. Myka demands to know what she wants, and Helena explains that she intends to use it rather than bargain with it.

Claudia arrives as Kelly finishes tying Pete up. As the veterinarian gets an axe and prepares to cut Pete up, Claudia gets Pete out of the way. As they struggle, Pete spots the compact and they realize it's an artifact. The letters LAB are the initials of Lizzie Andrew Borden. Claudia puts the compact in the bag just in time to save Pete. A shocked Kelly demands answers and Pete figures that the compact makes the victim kill the one they love. He explains that it means that she really loves him, but she stops him and leaves.

Helena explains that no one is innocent and the 21st century is worse than she ever expected. She plans to initiate a new Ice Age and let the planet recover. When they realize Helena is serious, Artie takes out a gun and shoots her in the shoulder. However, she smiles as Artie's own shoulder starts bleeding. Helena explains that she's wearing the Corsican Vest, which transfers injuries to someone else. She then drives the trident into the ground, setting off a series of eruptions.

With time running out, Artie tells Myka to talk to Helena. Myka asks about the millions of other mothers that will lose their daughters, but Helena says it's no world for a child and uses the trident a second time. Myka insists that Helena could have killed them at any time, and that she let them live so that they would stop her. The agent calls on the part of Helena's soul that doesn't want to kill. When Helena denies it, Myka gives her the gun and tells Helena to shoot her while looking her in the eyes. Helena can't do it and collapses, sobbing. Myka grabs the trident as things revert to normal.

Later, Adwin's men take Helena away. He tells the agents that they less they know, the better they can do their job. Adwin congratulates them on a job well done and says Helena fooled them all, but Myka points out that she didn't fool Artie.

In the office, Artie recovers and Claudia breaks into tears. He assures her he'll be around to make her life hell for a long time.

Pete goes to see Kelly and discovers that she's packing to leave. He starts to explain that he can tell his secret to one special person, but Kelly says that she's not that person. She doesn't want a complicated life like the one that Pete has. She kisses him on the check and says goodbye, and tells him to stay safe.

Later, Pete and Myka chat at the warehouse and he says that he figures he needs to quit his job to simplify his life. She points out that he was born to life as a Warehouse agent and he's really good at it. Myka insists that he can't quit and Pete agrees. He goes to see Artie and Myka says she'll be along in a bit. Mrs. Frederic appears and asks why Myka wanted to see her. Myka gives her an envelope and asks her to deliver it to Artie. Mrs. Frederic insists that Myka can't blame herself, but Myka doesn’t accept that and points out that she put the entire world in jeopardy. None of them can afford to take that chance again.

Mrs. Frederic reads Myka's letter to the group, and her best wishes to each one of them. Pete runs outside to find her, but she drives away before he gets there.
