Recap

Pete and Myka arrive at Warehouse 13 in the middle of winter, and complain about the cold. They enter the office and discover that it’s filled with marshmallows and stars, thanks to Claudia and artifacts. Joshua Donovan is there and helping Claudia set up, and Claudia is happy that she’s able to spend Christmas with people in her life for the first time. However, Pete and Myka inform her that they’re going home of Christmas. Artie storms in, angry with what she’s done to his office, and she tries to give him a sweater as a present. He angrily tells her to put away all of the artifacts. He stumbles into Joshua, who is under a piece of artifact mistletoe, kisses him, and then insists they get rid of everything...

Episode Quotes
Pete: Oh, why can't they put the warehouse in, like, Maui?
Myka: Really? Because I love winter! I love snowmobiling and snowball fights, and, ooh, and hot apple cider!
Pete: Yeah, that's 'cause you're from, like, the Rockies. There's no air up there. Your brain--not normal.
Myka: Really? This from a man who giggles at "Grand Tetons."
Pete: You know what that means in French, don't you?

Claudia: I got you something very special, and I think you're gonna like it.
Artie: Why?
Claudia: It's called a present. You're familiar with presents, right? We Earthlings exchange them as a sign of affection and gratitude.

Claudia: Poor Artie. It must be exhausting to be that grouchy without even time off for the holidays.
Joshua: You think he was like that as a kid?
Claudia: Whoa. I've never actually pictured Artie as a child. It's disturbing.
Joshua: Yeah, it is.

Pete: Real Santa! Excellent! You know, I knew it. Seriously, it explains so much.
Myka: You're making a Christmas list in your head right now, aren't you?
Pete: Maybe.

Artie: Where have you been?
Claudia: Oh, you missed me.
Artie: I was worried.
Claudia: Same thing.
Artie: No, it's not. There'd be paperwork.

(about Claudia)
Isadore Weisfelt: She's not yours, is she?
Artie: No, God no! No, no, no. She wasn't even born of man. She noodged her way into existence!
Isadore Weisfelt: That's very good. Noodged!

Myka: Do not eat the stuffing out of the bowl!
Pete: Why not? It's delicious!
Myka: I don't want your cooties!

Cultural References
Joshua: God bless us, every one.

The last line in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, as spoken by Tiny Tim.

Artie: That yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus?

Francis Pharcellus Church of the New York Sun wrote an editorial in response to Virginia O'Hanlon in 1897 when she asked if there was a Santa Claus. Church told her quite movingly that there was.

Pete: Got it, Kirk out.

Used as Pete signs off on the Farnsworth, and echoing the phrase used in the original Star Trek by Captain James Kirk when signing off after using the communicator.

Pete: Cat's in the cradle, huh?

Cats in the Cradle is a 1974 song by Harry Chopin about a father who never spends time with his on, until its too late and he discovers his son has no time for him.
