Artie is chasing a beetle artifact through the warehouse while Pete looks on and talks to Steve and Claudia via Farnsworth. They are at a Civil War reenactment in Shiloh, Tennessee, looking for U.S. Grant’s flask. Pete asks them where the marshmallows that Artie wants are, but quickly cuts off when he realizes that Artie is listening. Artie complains that Pete isn’t helping him and loses the beetle. As he runs off after it, Leena calls and tells Pete that his ex-wife is there to see him.
Myka returns to the B&B with a beehive artifact from Dubai. Leena introduces her to Marine Major Amanda Lattimer. Myka tries to figure out why Amanda has the same last name, but is cut off when Pete arrives. He gets Amanda away in private and sends Myka away, much to her annoyance. Once they’re alone, Amanda wonders why Pete was reassigned to South Dakota and figures he got himself in trouble. She gives Pete a rare comic that he left behind and he thanks her... and then asks why she’s really there. Amanda explains that she’s getting married the next day and that he’s not invited. She’s there to get her grandfather’s ring. As Pete goes to get it, Amanda notices the beehive and briefly examines it. Inside, a small metallic bee activates.
Artie comes in and is surprised to find Amanda there. He knows who she is from Pete’s files and starts to ask some personal questions, but Pete interrupts him. Myka comes in and tries to find out more about Amanda, and Pete ushers both of his co-workers out. When Myka realizes that Amanda is Pete’s ex-wife, Pete refuses to answer any questions and tells her to go upstairs. As Pete goes back to talk to Amanda, the metal bee emerges from the beehive. Pete returns the ring and makes amends to her for when he was drinking, and Amanda assures him that things are fine between them. She explains that her wedding is at a rented castle in the Poconos and Pete tells her that she deserves a happy ending. As Amanda turns to go, she bumps the table and the bee falls into her bag.
Later in the warehouse, Leena and Myka try to find out more about Amanda and he admits that she’s getting remarried. He refuses to talk about it but Myka goes after him and Pete admits that he was too young and now he worries about what he might have lost. Artie arrives and reveals that the beehive is missing the bee. He doesn’t know what it does but figures that it does something dangerous. They go back to the B&B and realize that the bee must have fallen into Amanda’s bag.
In the Poconos, Amanda arrives at the castle and fiancé Michael greets her. She gets a call from Pete but she hangs up to kiss her husband. When she reaches into her bag to get the ring, the bee stings her. As the wedding planner escorts her arrive, Amanda’s finger glows.
At Shiloh, Steve and Olivia search the tents for the flask but have no luck. She asks about Steve’s past but he doesn’t want to talk about it. They don’t find the flask and Steve suggests that they body search everyone. Claudia explains that they have to be stealthy and not give away that someone has an authentic Civil War flask. The last person who drank from it thought they were Grant and started stabbing people. Claudia spots some Confederate uniforms and they quickly don them and blend in with the troops.
Pete and Myka fly to the Poconos and Artie warns them via Farnsworth that it’ll take him some time to find out about the beehive. Meanwhile, Amanda meets with her bridesmaids. Her finger is swollen and they all touch it. As soon as they do, they start fawning over her. Her husband’s Marine groomsmen arrive and Amanda touches them as well when she hugs them in welcome. They also start serving her. Pete and Myka come in while the bridal party glares art them. Amanda goes to talk with the agents in private and the bridal party follows them down the hall. When they see Amanda’s in-laws ahead, Amanda asks the bridal party to do whatever it takes to keep them away. Once she leaves with the agents, the bridal party gags and ties up the parents.
The agents try to tell Amanda that something is wrong without telling them what they do or what they’re after. She wonders if Pete is trying to disrupt her wedding, but Myka explains that they just need to search her bag. Pete finds the bee and they figure the case is over. They put it in a neutralizer bag and Amanda realizes something strange is going on. Myka tells Amanda that they’re finished and starts to leave, but Amanda asks to talk to Pete in private.
Claudia and Steve search the battlefield and spotted a wounded Confederate soldier. He informs them that Private Johnson deliberately attacked him in violation of the rules. A different Union soldier runs up and shoots Claudia, and Steve shoots him back. Claudia refuses to play dead and the disgusted soldier chews her out before collapsing.
Amanda apologizes to Pete and admits that she blamed his drinking for their break up. She chose not to let Pete get in her way when they were married, and wonders if things would have been different if she hadn’t been so headstrong. Pete tells her that it turned out for the best. Michael comes in and Pete salutes him before leaving. Amanda and Michael go to find his parents. She says that no one is getting in or out until they hold the wedding, and he jokingly comments that now he owns her. They’re both unaware that the bridal party has heard them talking.
As Pete and Myka try to leave, the groomsmen inform them that they won’t be allowed to go. When the bridesmaids come after them, Pete and Myka run for it and take refuge in the room where Amanda is preparing. They barricade the door as one of the Marines cuts through the door, and Amanda demands to know what’s going on while Pete points out that they didn’t bring their Teslas because it was a wedding.
Pete confirms that one of the Marines is standing guard outside while the others have left. They call Artie, who has learned that the artifact belonged to a female pharaoh, Hatshepsut, who captured bee pheromones and stung herself to make herself a queen bee and create an army of drones. Myka realizes that the bee is missing its stinger.
At Shiloh, Steve spots Private Johnson as he threatens another Confederate soldier. Steve tries to calm him down but Johnson attacks him instead. Claudia arrives dressed as a Southern belle and pleads for Steve’s life, and then stuns Johnson with her mini-Tesla. Steve hesitates and then admits that Claudia reminds him of his big sister, who used to bail him out of trouble. When Claudia asks for more information, Steve admits that she died a while back. Claudia apologizes and they bag the flask.
Myka tells Artie what happened and that they couldn’t find the stinger. Artie tells them that the stinger dug deeper into Amanda’s body and that anyone she touches is infected by the bee pheromones. The bridal party is chasing them because they consider the agents a threat, and things went badly for Hatshepsut. He signs off to do more info and Pete realizes they can take Amanda to the hospital, x-ray her, and remove the stinger. He climbs up to the transom and drops a vase on the Marine, and then they try to slip out. As they pass the reception hall, they see the bridesmaids ripping up tablecloths and preparing a knife. They continue on and find the groomsmen chasing Michael. They knock him out and carry him away, ignoring Amanda’s command to stop.
The bridal party ties Michael down to the table and Amanda admits she has no idea what to do next. She turns to Pete, who turns to Myka. Artie calls and explains that the servants become so obsessed that they did whatever they felt best. When Hatshepsut tried to marry a man, her servant mummified him. The bridal party prepares to kill Michael and Amanda and the agents leap to attack. The bridesmaids overwhelm Pete and Amanda rescues him so he can free Michael. When the groomsmen close in, Pete gives them the order to attention, briefly distracting them. Artie calls and tells Myka that they can use the bee to remove the stinger. They knock out the bridal party and Myka successfully removes the stinger, eliminating the spell.
Eventually the wedding begins. While the happy couple walks up the aisle, Pete and Myka explain to the shell-shocked in-laws that the bridal party ate some wild mushrooms and went on a bad trip. Afterward, Pete admits that he was impressed by Michael and Amanda concedes that it was a memorable wedding. She hugs Pete and tells the agents that they make a good team.
When the agents return to the warehouse, they store the beehive. Pete apologizes to Myka, admitting that he didn’t want her to see him as the drunk and loser he used to be. As Pete walks away, Myka insults Michael on his behalf.
Claudia is going over the file on Steve’s dead sister Olivia, who was shot by a stray bullet. He sees her and explains that’s when he joined the ATF. Steve says that Claudia and Olivia would have been good pals if they ever met and starts talking about the good times he had with her. As Steve shares, Artie watches from the office window and smiles in satisfaction.d
