Sally Stukowski tortures Regent Theodora Stanton for an address and then kills her using an artifact.
Artie and the team analyze Sally’s travel patterns and confirm that she has murdered four Regents in the last year and is responsible for Theodora’s disappearance. They go to Atlanta and Pete and Steve confront Sally in a bar. She feigns ignorance at first but then breaks her phone and makes a run for it. Myka is waiting outside and stuns her unconscious. As Pete and Steve arrive, Pete notices a man parked down the alleyway. The man drives off.
Back in the bar, Artie and Claudia are waiting. The agents negate the doorknob but Sally tells them that what’s done is done. When Sally refuses to say anything further, Artie takes out a map and has the agents press Sally’s hand to it. The map belonged to Sir Henry Morton Stanley and shows where she’s been in the last 12 hours. The team goes to the address and the skyscraper there. Two security guards stop them and insist that the building is closed. Artie notices that they have Colt .45 guns and orders his team out. As they go, he tells the others that the guards would have shot them if they were Sally. Claudia stuns the guards with a Tesla grenade, and the team searches them and discovers they have Eye of Horus tattoos. Artie realizes who they are and searches them for a card. On it is a 40th floor suite number and a name, Diana K. Snow. Artie sends Pete and Claudia to check the security footage while he and Myka go to the 40th floor.
Steve watches over the captive Sally, who warns that the day will end badly for her people. She offers to save him and warns that the Regents aren’t paragons like he believes. Mrs. Frederic arrives and asks her to explain.
Pete and Claudia check the footage and spot Sally and another man sneak in as painters. Claudia checks the sim card from Sally’s phone and determines where her partner can be found.
Artie and Myka arrive at Suite 4013 and Regent Kasan steps out. Myka realizes that “Diana K. Snow” is an anagram for Kasan’s name. Kasan introduces them to two other Regents, Philip Petrov and Jane, as well as the head of Regent security, Jackson. Jackson says that they need to get out and they head for the elevator. The Regents explain that the building was chosen three hours later which means that Sally has inside information. Jackson insists that they take the elevator over Myka’s objections. However, as they head down, the elevator grinds to a halt when the automatic brake engages. Myka looks up through the hatch and discovers that a corrosive energy is eating away at the brake and the cables are gone. Myka takes out Helena’s grappler and fires it up the shaft. They retract it enough to lift the elevator clear so they can get out just as the brakes give and the elevator car plummets down. Artie realizes that Sally and her partner have another artifact.
Sally knows Mrs. Frederic and vice versa, and she refuses to talk. Mrs. Frederic says that pain is what motivates people, and Sally says that the Regents started it. When Steve asks her what she’s done, Sally tells him to wait and see.
Pete and Claudia find a global financial service at the indicated address. They confirm that Sally’s partner is James Aquino, a mercenary who is transferring his funds to a Cayman fund. Pete goes in and gets everyone out behind Aquino’s back, but he spots Pete’s reflection, grabs a can of paint from his bag, and uses the manager as a hostage. Aquino uses the spray paint to set the manager’s jacket on fire, runs to his car, and escapes while Pete and Claudia save the manager.
Jackson’s men get free and Artie tells them to get out of the building and avoid any traps. Myka and Jackson argue and Jane offers to go with Myka to check the stairwells. Jane knows all about Myka’s adventures. Meanwhile Artie checks the stairs and determines that the corrosive energy is spreading upward, destroying everything in its path. Myka and confirm the other stairwell is in a similar condition and Philip suggests they go to the roof. Kasan calls for a helicopter but warns that it can’t get there for 30 minutes. Artie figures that things are too easy and looks at the adjoining building. The reflection in the windows shows the corrosive energy spreading up their building from the ground up from an anarchy symbol. It will reach the top before the helicopter arrives.
Pete and Claudia call Artie on the Farnesworth and tell him about the paint can. He figures it’s related to the anarchy symbol, and Pete assures him that they’ll find the paint can and hopefully negate the corrosive energy. Meanwhile, Kasan calls Mrs. Frederic and tells her what is happening. Mrs. Frederic reveals that she has a World War II Japanese medal from Unit 731. It simulates drowning in its victim and Mrs. Frederick applies it to Sally.
Claudia ties into the Atlanta traffic cameras and confirms that Aquino is heading for a private jet. When Pete confirms that they can’t intercept Aquino in time, Claudia takes out an electronic earpiece and hacks Aquino’s GPS navigator. She starts giving him directions to delay him so that they can catch up to him.
Mrs. Frederic demands answers and Steve objects. He insists that they don’t torture people, but Mrs. Frederic says that it’s not a democracy and she’ll do what she has to. Meanwhile, Sally secretly cuts through the tape holding her.
Artie spots a window-washing rig on the 15th floor and suggests they get to it and go the rest of the way down from there. Jackson objects but Myka’s persuades him to agree. As they head down the stairs, Jane tells Myka that she’s a national-born leader and that’s part of why she was reinstated. The Myka insists that they all have a destiny to take care of the Warehouse. The stairs collapse beneath Jackson and Jane. Myka pulls Jane to safety and then goes back for Jackson. He tells her to save Philip and then throws himself into the energy rather than delay Myka’s escape and put her at risk. The group reunites on the 17th floor and Artie goes to the window while Jane tells Myka that Jackson knew the risks and the agent has to cowboy up.
Mrs. Frederic continues to torture Sally until she finally explains that the paint can came from the Berlin Wall. When Mrs. Frederic demands to know how it can be stopped, Steve draws his gun on her and tells her that he can’t let her do it. He insists that what they’re doing is wrong, but Mrs. Frederic says that they do what they have to for the Warehouse. Sally get free, hits Steve with a chair, and escapes. Mrs. Frederic warns Steve that he’ll have to deal with the consequences of his actions, and then tells Claudia and Pete what they’ve discovered. They realize that the anarchy symbol represented the rebellious spirit of the East Berliners, and that spirit gave the can the power to bring down any wall. Mrs. Frederic tells Pete to get the can and get back to the building.
Claudia directs Aquino into a blind alley. When they approach him, Aquino says that either Pete will kill him or his superior will. Realizing that he’s dead either way, Aquino sprays the paint into his mouth, disintegrating himself. Pete and Claudia bag the artifact and call Artie and Myka. They confirm that the building is still disintegrating and Pete figures they need to be closer to the building.
As the building destabilizes, rubble falls from the ceiling, injuring Kasan and trapping Philip’s legs beneath a column. As the corrosive energy spreads, Philip tells Jane that they have to make the transfer. He reveals that he’s wearing the Remati Shackle, an artifact created by Genghis Khan to ensure the sanctity of Warehouse 7. The remaining two Regents remove it and Jane puts it on. Philip tells her that she is the Guardian now and then burns up as the energy reaches him. Meanwhile, Artie shatters the window and uses a pair of Lloyd Wright’s Pickup Sticks to create a ladder extending down to the rig. While Artie climbs down, Myka tells Jane to cowboy up and leads her to the window. She insists that Kasan go first because of his injuries. However, the spreading energy destroys the ladder. The rig has no power and can only go down. Artie tries to rescue Myka but realizes he can’t and promises to come back for her.
When they arrive at the street, Artie tells the emergency service workers that there’s a toxic chemical spill and everyone has to get back. Kasan warns Artie that Jane must be rescued and then collapses from his injuries. As he’s taken away, Artie spots the anarchy symbol on the base of the building.
Jane tells Myka to get the elevator doors open. Once they confirm the shaft is clear, the two women drop down on fire hoses.
Pete and Claudia arrive with the paint can and Artie shows them the anarchy symbol. He figures that since it was born of extreme emotion, it requires extreme emotion to overcome it. Pete takes the can and starts painting over the symbol, just like the German taggers did on the Berlin Wall.
Myka and Jane get to the bottom of the shaft but discover that the exit is blocked.
Pete covers the old symbol with a new one, a peace symbol, and the corrosive energy dissipates. Myka and Jane realize that they’re saved and Myka figures that Pete pulled it off.
Sally and her mysterious superior watch from a nearby building. She apologizes for her failure but says that they’ve made the first steps toward recruiting Steve. Marcus Diamond comes up and injects Sally with a lethal poison. He figures that it will look like an undetected heart defect. Marcus’ superior thanks him for being a good friend.
At the building, Pete and Myka embrace. Claudia traces Aquino’s phone calls to a company called A to Z Technologies. The Regents worry that the company could be unstoppable with an arsenal of artifact weapons. Artie figures that their enemy was after the Shackle and Mrs. Frederic explains that it’s Warehouse 13’s last line of defense
Claudia talks to Steve, who explains that he was insubordinate and drew his gun on Mrs. Frederic. In response, she fired him. Claudia goes to talk to her, but Steve tells her not to bother because he can’t do what Mrs. Frederic wanted. Steve gives her a brotherly kiss and walks away.
Myka brings Jane over to meet her partner for the first time. He takes a look at her and says, “Mom.”
