They don’t respond, confirming his accusation, and Pete walks away. Jane tells Mrs. Frederic that Pete needs time, but Mrs. Frederic warns that they don’t have time.

Claudia calls to check with Artie while they drive to the T-shirt store that Jason owned. They meet with Viola, the clerk, who wonders if alien abduction is involved. As she scans some t-shirts with a laser scanner, the manager, Stan, complains that one of the designers, Jeff McMasters, is using too much glitter. Myka recognizes it as the kind of shadow left by someone hit by an electromagnetic pulse, and they wonder if something nuclear is involved.
They have the landlord take them to Megan’s apartment, but Megan tells them to go away. Myka sends the landlady away and tries to get Megan to let them in, but she refuses.
