Waterloo Road

Waterloo Road Comprehensive is on the scrap heap. It can be found very near the bottom of every league table there is. Its despondent teachers have given up trying to make a difference as they struggle to cope with their own personal problems as well as their nightmare day jobs.

The show was set in a comprehensive school in Rochdale for it's first seven series, however is moving to Scotland for the next series. A new independent school led by some of the staff from Rochdale is been set up with a boarding house, meaning some of the pupils will also be making the move. The new series is due to air from September 2012 with 50 episodes planned over the next 2 years.
