Nancy Botwin, played by Mary-Louise Parker
Nancy is a single mother of two. Although she isn't alone in raising her kids, she has her brother in law, Andy Botwin around to help her out and her house keeper Lupita. After the death of her husband Judah, Nancy had no source of income and because she doesnt not have a college education she doesn't have anyway to get a good job.
Nancy decided that she would go in to the drug dealing business. She can make good money and still be around for her kids, Silas and Shane. To avoid getting caught and being questioned where she was getting her income, Nancy decided to open a bakery.
Eventually Nancy decides to start growing with her friend Conrad and eventually disengage from working with Heylia. Although Nancy and Conrad were unable to do this alone. They decided to convince, Andy, Doug and Dean to invest in this business.
Nancy starts to date a man named Peter. It wasn't until the night that Nancy spent the night with Peter for she found out Peter was with the DEA. Eventually Peter caught on to her but decided to keep help her out. He busted all of the grow houses except hers. They ended up getting married which pissed her kids off. Peter eventually got abusive which led to their break up.
Nancy was going to make a great deal with a man named U-Turn, then Peter came along and asked for a bunch of money and told her not to sell anymore. Conrad setup a plan to have Peter murdered. U-Turn and the Armenians ended up robbing Nancy which then led to her having to Work for U-Turn.
After the death of U-Turn, Nancy was temporarily working for Marvin but was able to move on. Now she has a real job and is ready to start making more deals. |
