Game-Played - Recap

The scene opens with Nancy in Drug Class with Shelby Keen, the Director and drug counselor. She asks Nancy what her number is and asks if she wants to go back to prison. She tells that she doesn’t and Shelby tells that is where she is going if she tests positive for drugs again. Shelby tells that there isn’t going to be some guy with a pager on the inside. The other roommates tell that there are no longer pagers and that it is a messaging service. Nancy writes down the two names that the roommates give her, “Magic Man” and “Witch Doctor”. Meanwhile, Andy, Doug, Silas and Shane are at a hotel and are raiding the complementary Breakfast. They ask if Silas is coming to see Nancy and he says that he has a job interview. Doug also has somewhere to be as well. Andy and Shane meet with Nancy and Andy asks if she is going back to prison. She says that Counselor Ed pulled strings and put her in drug class. She asks how Shane is doing and he talks about the marionettes and Renata. Nancy pretends to be interested. Andy says that they are going to live in New York now and Nancy lies and says that is a great idea. She says that she is not going to be there for them and that everyone needs to be responsible. She says that Shane needs to go college. She hugs them when her time is up.

Meanwhile, Silas meets with Maxine the artist. She says that he is perfect for the gig and offers $2,000. He agrees. Andy and Shane get a run down apartment from a guy who wants to get rid of it. Later, Nancy goes online and video-chats with Jill, who is not happy with her life. She tells that Stevie is at Music class and then has Spanish class. She tells that she needs to send money for Stevie because the school that they want to get him in cost $400 a week and Music class is $180. Nancy says that she never did that for her other kids. Her roommate tries to get Nancy off the webcam and Jill says that she needs to sign some custody papers. Nancy tries to get Jill’s attention, but she hangs up on her. Shelby calls Nancy into her office. She asks why she shouldn’t sign the form to send her back to prison. She begs her and says that she is going through a lot. Shelby tells that she needs to get a job and that she needs to show that she is a worthy member of society. She gives Nancy a job interview, but she is going to have 4 hours to try to find a job anywhere. If she doesn’t, then she gets one in the house. She thanks her and leaves.

Doug goes into Vehement and is greeted by his old friend. He is introduced to Greg and Rick, his partners and they tell that they are giving Doug a job as an accountant. He agrees. Nancy goes to Andy and tells him her bad news. Andy tells that Jill won’t get custody of Stevie because she is not the mother. She gives Andy the list of marijuana distributers and Andy asks if she learned anything in prison. She tells that she will work harder not to get caught. She leaves the grenades for Andy to watch. Meanwhile, Shane applies to college and the admissions counselor says that he can’t help him until Shane tells that he is from Denmark with an Iceland passport. He says that he can get him in and gives files for banks who give student loans. Nancy goes to the job interview and she is disgusted when he grabs her butt. Shane goes to bank to bank and wants to see who will give him the best deal. Nancy gets back and asks what Andy found out. Andy goes on a long story about who is open and who is closed and Nancy says that there is a hole in the market. Nancy goes to Dmitry and gives him the grenades. He shows the marijuana and asks if she is happy. She says that she could be happier. Shelby calls and she tells that she in the lobby of a telemarketing firm. She tells that she is going to stay for as long as it takes.

Silas has his modeling gig and Andy is there to watch him. Silas’s bubble that he is in has a leak and Silas can’t breathe. Andy takes a knife and lets him out. Maxine is impressed by Andy and Silas gets upset with her and she tells that she doesn’t think that Silas is a piece of meat, but he doesn’t care. Andy decides to hang out with Maxine for a while. Nancy comes into the loft and puts the radio full of marijuana and Silas comes in. He tells that he wants to have the jeans back. Her phone rings and Silas answers it. Nancy tells Shelby that she is in an interview. Silas says that someone might sell her marijuana and says that half the profit is his and asks if they have a deal. She agrees. Silas escorts her out and locks the door.
