Synthetics - Recap

The scene opens with Zora coming out and welcoming Nancy. She gets mad at Dmitry for sleeping with Nancy and says that she is hers. Dmitry calls Zora a donkey and tells her to show Nancy her ears. Nancy asks how Zora got out and she tells that she can make deals too. Zora tells Dmitry to take his drugs and go to his bedroom. She pulls a knife on Nancy and asks her who she belongs to. Dmitry opens the door and watches the show. Meanwhile, Andy has a photographer for a magazine taking pictures of him next to the Copenhagen Wheel. Silas comes in and tells that the back door is jammed and he sees that Andy put a padlock on it. Andy tells that he wants to keep it separated form the wheel business. Silas asks Andy what he is doing and Andy says that it is his dream to do this and it is going to be big.

Nancy sneaks out of Zora’s arms and goes to Dmitry’s room. She sees the marijuana and tries to take it. Dmitry grabs her and tells that she must have not gotten what she came for. Grabs her and they get “busy”. Afterward, Nancy tries to go off with the marijuana, but Zora tells her to leave the marijuana and leave. She agrees. Nancy gets back to the Halfway house and Shelby is there waiting for her. She tells Nancy that she called to send Nancy back to jail, but the request was denied and that Nancy needs to leave the halfway house and live on her own. She tells that Nancy is a lifer and that she is always going to do bad things. Nancy says that Shelby doesn’t need to take care of her because she has been doing a good job all by herself. Meanwhile, Shane and the Detective are staking out a high school kid. It is the Detective’s step-son and he wants Shane to get him a present for him. He tells Shane to tell Billy, the one they are watching, that it is from his father.

At work, Nancy copies files that are on Doug’s computer while he is exercising. He asks for Nancy’s opinion on the pictures that Dana, his ex-wife, put up. Foster, the CEO, comes up and asks Nancy what she is working on. She says that it is nothing and says that she has to fix the briefcase handle. Nancy goes to the FCC and gives him the details. He says that it is just backups and says that she can go back to the half-way house or prison. She tells that she isn’t going back to prison and says that she will go higher. She tells that the hickies that she has are from him. Shane gets back to the car and has the present still. He says that Billy said no. The Detective takes out a bottle of Listerine and drinks it. At the company, Nancy goes up to Foster and tells that she will go out to dinner with him. He asks where she wants to go and she tells that she will like anything that is endangered.

At the shop, Silas tells the models that they have orders to fill. Denny and Emma from Pouncey House come in and tell that they are giving Silas a cease order and tell that they know their messengers and routes. Emma goes up to Silas and tells that Silas looks like a model that she saw on a billboard in Copenhagen. They leave. Meanwhile, Nancy gets wired by the FCC and the woman agent asks if Nancy has a jacket and she offers one that she crocheted. They give her a list of questions to ask. Nancy gets to the restaurant and Foster shows their food. Nancy tries to ask the questions, but he tells that he doesn’t want to talk about work. She excuses herself to the bathroom where she puts the listen device in the sink. The woman agent comes racing in and says that it is her fault that it got wet, but she has another one.

The Detective doesn’t want anything to do with Billy, but Shane says that he needs to be nice. The Detective asks about Shane’s father and Shane tells that he is dead and so are his two step-fathers. The Detective asks where he grew up and Shane says that he grew up in the Suburbs. Nancy gets back to Silas and Andy’s and says goodbye to Foster. Silas tells that he needs to leave and starts to tell Nancy the bad news. Andy comes out and Foster tells that he works with Nancy. She still has the listening device and blares some music. They keep talking and Nancy tries to cover the listening device with a pillow. Zora comes up and starts kissing everyone. She pulls Nancy out and tells that she is Nancy’s new business partner and love of her life. Foster is confused and Zora tells that he needs to go because she has a bad habit of losing things in fires. She kisses Nancy and says that she has had a long day. The FCC agents look at each other in shock. The episode ends.
