Three months after Jacs Holt’s death, new arrival Governor Joan Ferguson instantly makes an enemy of Franky, while Bea finds a new purpose.
Bea attempts to get revenge; Frankie’s determination to maintain power has fatal consequences for a new inmate; and there is an instant attraction between Doreen and a visiting male prisoner.
Simmo is back at the prison and begins selling drugs for Brayden. Bea becomes her friend in an effort to lure Brayden into a trap.
Brayden instructs a hitman to murder Bea. Simmo warns Bea about what is going down and she starts to suspect three new inmates.
Bea finds out that Simmo's daughter is working for Brayden. Franky attempts to use Maxine but she refuses to play along.
Vera finds it hard to deal with her mother's terminal illness and Joan offer her support. Franky is attacked by a male inmate working on the garden project.
Everybody is punished for Franky's drug trafficking as the garden project is closed down. Doreen is upset after Nash is taken away and she soon finds out that she is pregnant.
Franky attempts to find out which inmate is leaking important information to Joan Ferguson.
After Joan finds out that Doreen is the pregnant prisoner, she threatens to have Nash’s parole revoked unless she lies about who the father is.
After Lizzie is released from prison she moves into some ex-offender housing and attempts to make contact with her children. Franky and Boomer decide that Lizzie has to pay but Bea stops Boomer from ordering a hit on her.
Joan is none too pleased after a new inmate is transfered to Wentworth and she puts her into isolation. Bea continues to take pills and gets ready to put her plan into action.
The full extent of Bea’s plan ends up being revealed as she tries to avenge Debbie’s death. Franky realises that she is losing the support of the women and has no choice but to consider agreeing to make a deal.
