Episode Summary

Stephen Fry delves into his European Jewish background as he traces his maternal grandfather Martin Neumann back to modern-day Slovakia. He uncovers what happened to the relatives who failed to escape before the Nazis invaded, and also solves a mystery surrounding his father's mother, whose roots were less than illustrious. At an emotional family gathering, Stephen reveals his feelings about the discoveries.
