The gang roughs it in Karen's Vermont cabin in order to take Will's mind off what would have been his anniversary with his ex-boyfriend, Michael. Grace rekindles a romance with an old high-school flame and tries to hide the fling from Will. Meanwhile, Karen's culinary efforts go up in smoke, as does Jack's attempt to cheer Will by dragging him to a gay pub.

Episode Notes |
| |
The descriptions for this episode listed guest star Tom Bosley as "the town barber-turned-hair stylist" whom Will and Jack meet at the pub after ordering their drinks. Apparently, his scene was edited out because it just wasn't funny. | This episode aired after the "Big Brother Is Coming" 2-parter. Will and Grace act like Grace hasn't dated anyone since Danny, but she was with Will's brother Sam. This is due to the fact that the episodes were aired out of order rather than a problem with continuity. |

Karen: Stan had to take his kids to Scarsdale to see their real mother. What was her name? Wait a minute it'll come to me... "Stan, take the kids to see that bitch... Cathy!" Cathy. | Grace: Your cook's name is "Cook"?
Karen: No Grace he has a name! I just don't remember it. No wait a minute, it'll come to me, it'll come to me. "Where are my damn eggs... Paul!" Paul. Oh god, Paul is dead? Now who the hell is going to cook for us?!
Will: I guess this concludes the mourning period. | Will: Allow me, to go hunt and gather for the womenfolk.
Grace: Jack, don't you think it would be nice if you went with Will so that he didn't have to be alone?
Jack: (Reluctantly) Ok.
Will: Very well, I will hunt and gather with our womenfolk. | Jack: You know, no one took me on vacation when I broke up with... what's his face, uh... bleached hair, tattoo, goatee, who am I talking about?
Karen: God, I don't know honey. You just described a needle in a gaystack. |
