Will & Grace: Oh Dad, Poor Dad, He's Kept Me In The Closet And I'm So Sad

Will's ideal relationship with his loving father sours when his dad prepares to accept an award at his company's dinner banquet but tries to dissuade his son from attending because he's told everyone that Will is married to Grace. Meanwhile, Karen's private detective finds Jack's biological father.

When Will looks out the window at his father parking, he says "He found a spot on 78th." 155 Riverside Drive is at the corner of Riverside and 88th Street. There is no way he could see his dad parking 10 blocks down the street.



Cultural References

The title is a reference to the famous Arthur L. Kopit play "Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mama's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feelin' So Sad"

George: (To Grace) And who looks more like Rita Hayworth every day, huh?

Rita Hayworth was an actress who slightly resembles Debra Messing.

Grace: When I told my dad I got into Columbia, he said, "Yeah? Well, we're broke. Now, move. You're blocking Baretta.

Baretta was a 1970s TV show.
