Grace drags Will along to keep her in check during her first date with Nick only to leave a heated Will at his table for one. Meanwhile, Karen hatches a wild plan to get Jack a date with Aaron, the neighborhood bird enthusiast, only to ruffle some feathers when things don't quite go as planned.

Episode Notes

Aaron's bird, Golden-cheeked Warbler (Dendroica chrysoparia), is an endangered species found in Texas, Mexico and Central America.

This episode received a 2005 Emmy nomination - Outstanding Art Direction For A Multi-Camera Series.

Originally, Perry turned down the role because of scheduling conflicts. It wasn't until he actually got the script and read what his part would be that he changed his plans to come.

The bird is nothing more than a puppet designed to fall by a tug of a string. The footage of the bird moving is edited in.

Episode Goofs

So Grace walked around New York with only one shoe on in the middle of winter? In a dress no less. Either Grace has gotten slightly dumber, or the writers forgot it was winter.
