When Grace convinces Karen to accompany her to her father Martin's birthday bash, the situation turns awkward when it is just the three of them. Struggling to gain the attention of her seemingly aloof father, Grace tags along with him to the golf range in hopes of scoring some quality bonding time. Meanwhile, Karen keeps herself entertained with Martin's buddy, Burt Wolfe. Episode Quotes |
| |
Jack: I can't believe you did this to me! How did you know I was gonna make a fool of myself?
Will: Just a hunch. Don't feel bad, Jack. Truth is, I played this joke because... really I'm the one who's insecure.
Jack: You are?
Will: (Laughs) No. It's you. | Will: Hi. I'm Will. You must be my blind date.
Desmond: Hi, I'm Desmond. You must be my sighted date.
Will: Oh, so you're actually--
Desmond: Oh, I hope you're not going to say wearing the same outfit as you. | Martin: So how's work? They--they like you there?
Grace: Uh, Dad, it's just me and Karen.
Martin: Ah.
Karen: And the answer is no. |

Cultural References |
| |
Jack: In my mind, I've cast him as Judd Hirsch. America's favorite cranky Jew.
A reference to actor Judd Hirsch, and the character he was playing at the time of the show "Numb3rs." | Jack: Besides... I've been busy developing my new show at Out TV. It's very hush-hush, very secret, very Wisteria Lane.
A quick reference to the street name made famous on the show "Desperate Housewives." | Episode Title: It's A Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad World.
The title is a parody of the star-filled 60's film "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World." | Jack: You just got Pink'd!
A more then obvious reference to the MTV show "Punk'd." |
