The news of Zoe's disappearance alarms all of the winners, especially when the police tell them they suspect that they are all targets now that they have won the lottery. Zoe's sister Tally decides to help Sean in his search for Zoe. To keep their dissolving marriages together, Cameron and Nina resist their attraction to each other. Nina is left alone to deal with the escrow of her family's new mansion when Peter leaves on an exclusive and expensive trip to Mexico after being invited by their new neighbor, but the trip is not what he was told it would be. Frankie feels out of place when her mother takes her on a vacation to New York, and becomes angry when she learns that they aren't on vacation, but are moving. Damien decides to help cheer Frankie up by surprising her in New York, but when he has to leave, Frankie makes a decision about her living situation.
Upon her return from New York, Frankie learns that her father has been involved in a shooting and taken into custody. It turns out that Sunny was the one in Frankie's father's house, and the bullet did not kill her. Nina and her children take Sunny home on their first night in the new mansion to help take care of her. Peter throws an extravagant party at the new mansion in hopes of finding new investors for his bicycle factory. Sean decides to hire a private investigator when he runs out of options trying to find Zoe. Damien finds himself torn between his growing feelings for Frankie and his attraction to his wife.
Sean and Tally are brought closer together than ever after the tragedy of losing Zoe, but things become complicated when they both learn that Tally inherited all of Zoe's possesions, including Sean's winnings. When Peter clashes with some of the partners in his bicycle factory, he is forced to look for new investors. Beth wonders if her marriage to Cameron is worth saving after he confesses a past mistake. Damien snoops around Frankie's stuff looking for clues about her honesty, while she hangs out with her bodyguard in New York, and Galina is still in custody.
Peter flies off to Europe to sign a big advertising deal for the factory with his new partner, Sunny. Nina finds comfort in Cameron after he has to struggle with her two restless kids while waiting in the hospital after one of her daughters takes ill. Damien searches for a way to prevent Galina from getting deported after their divorce is finalized. Huge sums of money is found to be missing from Zoe's accounts by Tally and Sean.
To celebrate the unveiling of the company's new bicycle model, Peter and Sunny throw a huge party. After being treated coldly by their spouses, Cameron and Nina look for comfort in each other. Frankie tries to convince her mother to move away from New York, while Damien moves back home. Kimberly and Beth bump into one another and valuable advice is exchanged. Meanwhile, the truth about Zoe's disappearance is still being investigated by Sean and Tally.
Sunny and Peter are brought closer together when they have to deal with hardships in the office that involve allegations that a biker that the company sponsors has been using illegal drugs. Sean and Tally find some evidence that Zoe may not be dead after all. Nina starts to feel quilty about keeping a secret from Peter. Frankie and Damien go on a road trip, Beth meets a French chef at Maggie's restaurant, and more clues are discovered by Tally.
After they are questioned in connection with Zoe's death, Sean and Tally run from the law. Peter forces his protégé Colin Evett to make a life-and-death decision about his career, while Nina and Cameron plan for a future together. Galina is pressured by Damien to sign the divorce papers and adoption options are researched by Beth.
Peter finds himself being comforted by Sunny after Nina and Cameron's affair is revealed. Tally is caught with a huge sum of money by Sean. Damien continues to push forward his divorce, but has seconds thoughts when he hears that Galina is in trouble.
Sunny reveals a personal secret to Peter after feeling closer to him while spending the night together. The Schaefer girls are hit harder than expected when they hear news of their parents' separation. Galina and Damien try to work out what to do with the baby, while Frankie starts to fall for another boy. After being shot, Sean seeks Maggie's help - and she agrees to help him find evidence to incriminate Tally.
