Who exactly is your favourite character?

I'd say Gambit and Wolverine are my top characters.

Wolverine is vastly overrated. My favorite character by far would have to be Magneto.

It is pretty highly rated, but what type of people like him aren't?

I used to like Cyclops, but now I'd say Wolverine or Cable.

Totally agree. I could just take or leave Logan at first, but the writers' "We'll-shove-this-guy-down-everyone's-throat-until-they're-sick-with-the-very-sight-of-him" technique threatened to make Wolvie my least favorite character.

Anyway, my favorites are Jean Grey and Beast. I like Jean because she's pretty and her powers rock (I've always liked psychic powers), and Beast, personality-wise, is basically me as a mutant.

...And some of us could at least tolerate him before he was subjected to massive overdoses of overexposure by having every single X-Men TV show and movie focus largely, if not exclusively on Wolverine, thereby forcing us to label him as an overrated attention hog.

I fall into that latter category.

Like I said before.. loved his comics. That was just him and him alone.. not a bunch of reject mutants I could care less about.

Meh, we'll just have to agree to disagree there. Different strokes for different folks. And so on and so on and scooby-dooby-dooby.....

BTW, not to nitpick, but the statement "I could care less" is incorrect. The correct way to say that is "I couldn't care less", as in "I couldn't possibly care any less than I do." To say you could care less means that you could care more, which defeats the statement.

Not trying to be a stickler just now, but I was an English major in school, so.......

Just the lazy ones.

Now how's about we get back on topic now?

Although she's technically not a mutant, another character who's part of the X-Universe that I've always liked is Ms. Marvel.

Yeah, I also hate Wolverine for overexposure! I can't choose between Rogue and Gambit.
