Ares enlists the help of "The Furies" to punish Xena for a crime that she didn't even know about - and that the Warrior Princess has committed a terrible crime and that “she will be punished by persecution and madness.” Thanks to Gabrielle, Xena learns it's because she didn't avenge her fathers death - the father she never knew - the father she didn't even know died.
