Young Americans

Young Americans

"Every day the mystery of life unfolds and every night we go to sleep not quite sure if we solved it." - Will Krudski

In the spin-off of Dawson's Creek, Will Krudski (Rodney Scott) tries to adjust to his new life at Rawley Academy, dealing with being from a different background than most of his peers. On the other hand, Will's upper class roommate, Scout Calhoun (Mark Famiglietti), is exposed to the blue collar world when he pursues Bella Banks (Kate Bosworth), a townie girl that Will has known most of his life.

Jacqueline 'Jake' Pratt (Katherine Moennig) must come to terms with her true self after trying to pass her self off as a boy. After Jake finds an unlikely friendship with Hamilton Fleming (Ian Somerhalder), the Dean's son, she finds a way to be true to her identity, both realizing their true selves.

During the course of the summer, the characters, despite different backgrounds and ideals, come together to form a tight friendship as they work toward their dreams for the future. The events and moments spent together shape these young Americans into the adults they will become and the place that they will hold in the world.

Due to low ratings and strong competition, Young Americans was canceled after only eight episodes.
