Featured eats include a roast-pork sandwich from Tommy DiNic's in Philadelphia; a capicola-and-egg sandwich from Pittsburgh's Primanti Bros.; and a corn-beef-and-pastrami sandwich from Katz's Delicatessen in New York City.

2 :01x02 - Gulf Coast

The host heads to the Gulf Coast in search of the region's best sandwiches. He samples a shrimp po'boy at Domilise's in New Orleans; a grouper Reuben at Skipper's Smokehouse in Tampa; and a medianoche at the Aguila Sandwich Shop in Tampa.

The host seeks out the best sandwiches in the South. Included: chicken-and-cheddar biscuits at Time-Out Restaurant in Chapel Hill, N.C.; a chicken sandwich with special sauce at Zunzi's in Savannah; an Asian flank-steak sandwich from Mitchell Delicatessen in Nashville.

In Chicago, Adam compares sandwiches from Al's Italian Beef and the Fifty/50. He then heads to St. Louis to try the Crown Candy Kitchen's so-called Heart-Stopping BLT.

5 :01x05 - Mid Atlantic

The best sandwiches in the Mid-Atlantic region are spotlighted. Included: a crab-cake sandwich from Faidley Seafood in Baltimore; a chicken club from the W Hotel in Washington, D.C.; a fried-chicken sub from the Black Sheep in Richmond, Va.
