Recap

Gloria devours some books about women's lib and attempts to convince her family that they all should be seen as equals. When Mike refuses to take her seriously, Gloria moves out. But Mike's main concern is not whether his wife is returning or that he is being alone with Archie and Edith; it's something much more important, his grades. Episode Quotes
Gloria: Now we've lately been talking like friends.
Edith: I guess we worked ourselves up from mother and daughter.

Gloria: Mike's been reading them too.
Archie: Isn't it enough that he is a pinko and an atheist? Now you're going to turn him from a man to a morphodite.

Archie: I suppose next he'll have you prancing around in hot pants and wearing a brazier.
Edith: Oh no, I'm afraid of fire.

Michael: I believe in total equality between the sexes. That can only come about when the woman confesses her total inferiority to the man.

Gloria: The Declaration of Independance says we are all created equal.
Michael: It says all men are created equal.

(To Edith)
Archie: Let them fight, Edith. Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll teach him something and throw him out of here.

Michael: If you leave this house while I am uptight about my grades, then don't bother coming back.
Archie: Wait a minute Meathead, this is her house.

Archie: Well Edith, it looks like we lost a daughter and gained a meathead.

(To Michael)
Archie: Look at him, he is eating like he is going to be hanged.

Archie: How long has he been up there showing her his grades?
Edith: About 30 minutes.
Archie: In the middle of the day.
