Aloha Paradise: Letter from Broadway/ Letter from Cyrano/ Letter from a Secret Admirer

Sidney's extravagant mom pays a visit to her; Fran is wooed by a Cyrano-like suitor; a married man (Nye) sends flowers in secret to his wife (Buzzi). Debbie Reynolds plays an 80-year-old grand dame of the theater and her granddaughter; in another sequence Dick Shawn, fearing to express his love for a woman, helps a younger dashing young man write romantic letters to win her attention: Cyrano de Bergerac revisited.

Paradise Valley gets a distinguished visitor in Sydney's 80-year-old grandmother, Carlotta, a famous dame of the theatre who feels her life is over. Eccentric Carlotta does not know her granddaughter is plotting to bring her back to the stage she so loves. Meanwhile, elderly Cyrus is suffering from unrequited love. Unable to summon courage to express his love, he gets a younger man to win the woman's affections with well-written letters.

Debbie Reynolds plays a dual role as Sydney and Sydney's 80 year old grandmother, an eccentric grand dame of the theatre, and Fran falls in love with a dashing young man who sends her notes written by another man.
