Episode Quotes
Narrator: Cheyenne, Wyoming Territory, now known as the Equality State, because Wyoming was the first in the history of the world to give the right to vote to women. This was not accomplished without a fight. And where there were fights--and women--there was Bat Masterson, the man who became a legend in his own time.

Susan Stevens: I knew we had strong opposition, but why you, Bat? Why not us?
Old Billy North: I'm happy to say they didn't think it wise to have any pretty little martyrs on their hands.
Bat: Sound thinking. Gamblers get shot every day--sometimes even twice a day.

Old Billy North: Bat, why step over to their side?
Bat: Because she's prettier than you, you old goat!

Bat: Well, Billy, you old goat, what do you think of women's suffrage now?
Old Billy North: I think I'm ready to suffer. I might just marry one of them!
