Episode Quotes
Narrator: The mother lode of California, on the west slope of the Sierra Nevada. Some struck it rich; some threw away a lifetime digging and dreaming, always only two feet from a million dollars. Gold, the yellow Lorelei that opened the West, also provided one of the most exciting incidents in the colorful life of Bat Masterson, the man who became a legend in his own time.

Bat: What are you going to do with all your money?
Emile Barole: I'm going to get all the glorious champagne to drink and all the gorgeous food to eat. Then I'm going to lie down to dream--to dream of more food and more champagne.

Bat: Aim high, men! Shoot at the moon--you may hit a star!
