Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn Bridge

A show about a close-nit Jewish family and friends in 1950's. The show revolves around the Silver's located in Brooklyn, New York and features the life of oldest son Alan. A big Dodgers fan and straight A student, Alan's life includes his parents George and Phyllis, Nathaniel his younger brother and grandparents Jules and Sophie. The grandparents are immigrants from Poland and pass on the old world traditions. The love in Alan's life is Katie Monahan, a Irish Catholic schoolgirl with a strict police detective as her father. Cultures tend to clash but usually just for the older characters. Alan's best friends are Benny Belinsky and Warren Butcher. Warren is a lot like Alan but Benny is a little more immature and not exactly a good student. But no matter what comes up in their lives, it's the love of family that keeps everybody strong.
This show was aired on CBS but was never given the chance it deserved and was canceled after 2 seasons.
