In 1982, the arrival of Channel 4 saw a new Liverpool based soap that brought sex and a lot of new things into the world of soap operas, including over 10 million viewers in 1994. By the turn of the century, the year 2000, the ratings for the show become to slide and due to the continuing success of Big Brother, the show moved schedules quite a number of times and the show was eventually axed in 2003.

When Michaelson is found dead nobody seems to know anything about it. The Murrays, Dixons and Gordons prepare to leave the Close as Christy and Anthony are released from hospital. Tim takes Nikki to the airport before he moves into his new place. Jimmy prepares for a new life.
