Jodie (Jodie Dorday) joins her three oldest friends for drinks and during their monthly "girls night out" she loudly proclaimes that she wishes her husband Brian (Shane Cortese) were dead. Later that night, Brian actually ends up dead and it looks bad for Jodie...
In an effort to help Jodie, her three best friends concoct a story to explain Brian's disappearance. They go to great lengths to create a false trail involving a mistress.
Jodie's friends are growing weary of her neediness and are concerned about whether Jodie will crack under the pressure, involving them all as accomplices for their roles in covering up Brian's death. To complicate matters further, Brian's mother Rhonda arrives.
Jodie discovers that Brian had some secrets and, ironically, one involved a mistress. As Brian's resting place is threatened, Jodie needs her friends to get past their recent fallout with her and work together again.
Denise decides to take advantage of Jodie's desperate situation and demands that Jodie help her take care of her own situation. The girls' personal lives are all in disarray and the strain of burying Brian doesn't help matters.
In this final episode, Jodie makes the decision to go to the police, but Theresa's confession to her husband Pete during the previous episode may pave the way for a different solution.
